I think he is just trying to maintain or lift spirits up within the camp and avoid the meltdown that followed the summer of 2018.Those are some really scary quotes. Being the best at things that don't cost anything? What does that mean?
This will be the same Ole if he gets the sack will be moaning that he wasn't backed by the board.Uproar about Ole being happy with the squad..

Ole or Redcafe? This will be the same Ole if he gets the sack will be moaning that he wasn't backed by the board.
I can understand that Ole does not want to destroy the confidence of some players, but those players will be well aware that he doesn't trust them, see the end of last season. The board should be giving him more backing. The club will have lost a lot of money, but you would think the could still find more money than for one transfer.Ole or Redcafe?
Agree. That's why si think there shouldn't be an uproar cause Ole trusts his squad. He certainly won't say hey majority of you is shit. And of course he knows we need additions and in the same presser he said we're working on deals. If we get Telles and Sancho suddenly it's a very good window.I can understand that Ole does not want to destroy the confidence of some players, but those players will be well aware that he doesn't trust them, see the end of last season. I dont miss Jose thats for sure but he did put pressure on the board for signings and is doing the same at spurs. I do prefer ole obviously but he just doesn't seem the type to demand like that. He does appear from the outside at least to be the ideal manager for the people above him who are business first driven.I think that’s unfair on Ole. I know he loves the club and will certainly love being the manager. Do you want him to come out and do a José?
I said that before the window started, that Ed would use Covid as an excuse. Sadly I got sucked in by the rumours and muppets and now I feel frustrated and disappointed like everyone elseThat we won't spend big this summer. Which was my suspicion all along
There’s demanding and seeking assurances. Jose takes it to another extreme then throws his toys out of the pram.I dont miss Jose thats for sure but he did put pressure on the board for signings and is doing the same at spurs. I was only messing mate - but I’m glad I asked! You’ve described the caf and our general fan base really well right now.I never feel much point in discussing Chelsea as i'm fairly balanced and honest with myself in how I view things with regard to my own club, I don't do rose-tinted. Plus might sound arrogant but i'm not really interested in opinions of other Chelsea fans as I back my own judgement and know that i'm not missing any detail so nothing to gain from that perspective.
On the other hand, United are a club at a fascinating point in their history so it's a more enjoyable and interesting discussion. One thing i've found here which is interesting, and seeing as this place is still only a small reflection of the United supporter base as a whole but still probably reflects the bigger picture quite accurately, is that no matter the topic there is always massively divided opinion and for however many show anger or frustration towards the club there are equally as many that will blindly back the club/manager/players. What's interesting with that is it made me think of clubs with gigantic fanbases it's possible they can pay less regard to how fans might perceive things as there are always going to be vast amounts on the other side. Just common sense I guess, the more voices the less yours matters kind of thing.

Liverpool are only paying 4 million this year for Jota.
We don’t want your rejects*Always a panic afternoon away from signing Khedira on a free or Douglas Costa with an option to buy, though... still two loooong weeks to go.

And only 5 million up front for Thiago according to The Athletic
Ajax were accommodating as well. Dortmund on the other hand...I praise Liverpool a little for getting these good financial deals, but what it really comes down to is the selling clubs being reasonable during a difficult time.
Unfortunately we drew the short straw with the one club that is choosing to play hard ball.
Just specific to this deal how can you say it's a great piece of business , this place would have been up in arms had we been paying this much for Jota and without knowing the complete structure of the deal it's hard to judge whether it's a master stroke or not, maybe they agreed to pay rest of it before end of second year suddenly it doesn't seem that great see what I did there they are only reporting what makes Liverpool look better not the complete details not much to see here. Thing is when you are succeeding on the pitch everything seem to perceived better than it actually is.Fair play to them. They are run excellently. We can only aspire!
Bid for Jota when we need a winger and CB? From Sancho to Jota, we really are the shits. Jota wouldn't get in City, Madrids side etc. Just another sign how far we've fallenJust specific to this deal how can you say it's a great piece of business , this place would have been up in arms had we been paying this much for Jota and without knowing the complete structure of the deal it's hard to judge whether it's a master stroke or not.

Nailed on; don't sweat it.
Most transfer fees are payed in Installments maybe because they are paying so little in first year they also agreed to pay rest earlier but nobody is mentioning the complete details only the details which makes Liverpool looks like master negotiators which may or may not be case depending on actual structure of the deal .They're quoted to be paying £4m this year for a player who has more than showed his quality in a high-performing, high-achieving Wolves team. Every time I've seen him play, he's looked like someone more than capable of stepping up to a bigger team in the league.
He's being brought in as backup to the most deadly front three in the league over the last few seasons, with no immediate pressure to perform and a level beyond his current standing. He'll develop and learn as he enters his prime, and clearly matches the mentality Klopp looks for.
It's a very good signing.
"Put a challenge up for us". Does he think that we won the league last season? Doesn't he know that we were 33 points off from the winners and barely made it into the CL?
Perfect manager for the Glazers.
