If that was true, then they would have agreed the Thiago deal ages ago. No coincidence it is finally happening as Brewster and Hoever are about to be sold for just over what it'd cost to sign Thiago.
Yeah, Klopp is conveniently ignoring the younger players in his squad that can also be sold, but that's typical of him.

I do agree with you.... But lord almighty we paid 80 million pounds for Maguire. A guy in coma could have got him for that money

Yes. I dont think he was worth anywhere near that much, and I'm not saying I believe Maguire should have been our big marquee target. I disagreed with both. But it was determined that he was our big player to go for and we got him

Leicester are looking for a new defender.

On Fofana, he played for Saint-Etienne yesterday, and it appears that the club will make it difficult for him to leave.

There it is. Not a surprise and don't blame him for picking them.

Last season we finished 33 points behind Liverpool. This window they have added better strength and depth to their first team squad than we have. All of the teams who finished around us and will likely be competing against us for top 4 have added better strength and depth than we have.

You can get up in arms with fans being overly alarmist, but we simply have to respond. We need to add better quality. We need to show something resembling ambition.

He's trying to be coy about Thiago's impending arrival, hence the "look at our channels today". Liverpool's website and social media accounts haven't announced anything yet.
EDIT: Here's the clip with part of the first quote:

The second part is to say that no current first-team player will leave to make way for Thiago.

Is he going to start there? The Championship is a pretty physical league, wonder how he'll get on.
Watford did sell Doucoure, so there might be room for him in the first XI. He'll have to earn it, however, and Watford are the sort of team that tend to have a bunch of experienced foreign imports in their squad.

Bale one will also be released in next few hours.
United fans will press the mutiny button on soya media all weekend long.
Woodward gonna feel some serious heat now

That heat needs to be turned up on Woody to the extent that it absolutely blows his head off

Between Bale and Thiago, this has been the summer of transfer flings past. Our two top targets of that summer 2013 window have both moved to PL rivals in the last few days.

Is Sarr any good? I remember watching a YouTube vid after that performance against Liverpool and being unimpressed, that's about as much as I know.

Go to youtube and search Sarr vs. (any club). It'll show you every touch and pass he takes. Don't look at highlight videos because they'll embellish him. You'll see what I see. A fast, physical player but sloppy with passes and bang average technique.

A year later than we should have and would have also been cheaper as well in the previous summer window when woodward told mourinho to make do with bailly, Jones, smalling and lindelof

I was actually getting worried that Aulas been quiet about our pursuit of Aouar. A positive development.

Bale one is much easier to accept

Totally agree. Just funny that those two were on the move in that fateful summer window and moved again in the same window. Giving me real PTSD (I still have nightmares about the "Nos vemos en Manchester" nonsense).

Jota is better than Sarr. It would make perfect sense that they would end up with Jota as backup, and us with Sarr, the technically inferior player.
And what makes you think that Miguel Delaney knows something about us and Sarr?

Diego Simeone called Toreira and told him he wants him at Atletico. That could allow us to save a few millions if Partey is still on.

Jota has a lower ceiling than Sarr.

Sarr doesn't have the technical quality to reach a higher ceiling. His current performances are highly dependent upon his one upside, his power and his raw speed. His athleticism. Players with higher ceilings demonstrate quality with the ball, but make mistakes that experience can correct, but when you're average with the ball in general there's no great leap to be made.
