I agree. I also feel that there doesn't seem to be many big personalities either. I think with huge money in the game players have never been more removed from the fans. I think social media plays a part. You can follow players on social media but even these accounts seemed to be managed by the players "Team".

It’s partly increased scrutiny and partly an era of ultra professionalism. The most enigmatic players of the past were flawed individuals. From George Best to Eric Cantona to Zidane their all had issues which don’t really fly anymore.

Players like Lewandowski, Kane, Kante, Mane, Salah, VVD etc are all players who’s are at their peak and amazing players but they all lack ‘personality’.

As soon as a player behaves differently like Pogba does we talk about their hairstyle or social media activities and moan about it and blame that activity on a poor performance.

Too many nonsense tweets getting posted in here and the Sancho thread. It doesn't take much due diligence.

According to Bild Dortmund will finalize the signing of Bynoe-Gittens next week.

Has anyone watched enough English youth football to tell how talented he is?

I've never watched him play but from reading the Bluemoon forum he is described as having 'serious potential' by regular observers of City youth.

One of the top talents in his age group. Good deal to snap him up.

Exactly this. Characters like Zlatan and Pogba get criticised whenever they show personality and people praise the bland characters as being more professional despite that not being true.

Yea i see what you're saying there just doesn't seem to be anything like as many exciting world class players as there was in the 90's and 00's, Not even close, maybe its just a temporary kind of lull.

Mourinho talks about wanting a striker.

  • Mourinho needs a striker.
  • The striker needs to be more than a back-up; they need to provide competition to Kane.

Trabzonspor have received a formal offer for Alexander Sorloth from RB Leipzig.

I don't know why they're announcing this or why they're receiving the offer when he's Crystal Palace's player.

Significant progress was made once Inter got involved in negotiations between Barcelona and Vidal over Vidal becoming a free agent.

Jose: Provide competition for Harry wannabe like Messi & Ronaldo Kane
Levy: Jose, we're not buying Ronaldo nor Messi.

Official: Ciprian Tatarusanu joins AC Milan from Lyon.

He'll play backup to Donnarumma, most likely.

Apparently, PSG approach Leicester for Ricardo Pereira in January.

Translation:
PSG wanted Ricardo Pereira since last summer but finds this impossible this summer due to Financial Fair Play. It almost happened in January; unfortunately, he couldn't recover from his injury until October [which broke the deal]. [This might be] a case to follow for later.

Genoa are looking to get Milan Badelj now that he's a free agent. They're also working on selling Favilli to Chievo Verona and then getting Mariusz Stepinski from them.
