Anderlecht CEO Karel van Eetvelt reacts to the recent Doku-to-Liverpool rumours.

Quotes:
[On whether he's scared to lose Doku to Liverpool] Scared? Never. Only at a Belgian club you can never say that something is impossible.

If, say, Liverpool suddenly come up with a crazy offer, you have to look at it. How much? I prefer not to talk about figures, but AA Gent set the tone with [Jonathan] David’s [sale to Lille]. To be clear: for now, only the media is speculating about Doku and Liverpool.

Obviously Utd are fully focused on Sancho deal but need to keep monitoring this LB situation too

In an interview with CalcioNapoli24, Watford sporting director Cristiano Giaretta talks about the interest in Gerard Deulofeo.

Quotes:
There will be some important transfers, some players are of a different level in the Championship: it is clear that after the relegation, something will have to change.

There are several rumours around the boy. We are evaluating: he is ready to make a difference; his one-on-one would have given an immense contribution. There are important clubs on him, including in Italy, Spain and England. Napoli can also be included among those interested. Deulofeu is among those players mentioned for an outright sale. He remains an important player. There is a range of top-level players who are less affected by the coronavirus pandemic, I believe Deulofeu is part of this range and his evaluation was and remains high. Strong players remain strong, lower level players may be affected more.

New Valencia head coach Javi Gracia was quite honest in his recent press conference.

Zinchenko's agent suggests a way to ease City's negotiations for Koulibaly by potentially sending Zinchenko the other way.

Original source: Napoli Magazine via Radio Marte

Quotes:
Zinchenko in the Koulibaly negotiation? He is on the radar of Naples, three years ago there were meetings. But for this, we have to ask Koulibaly’s agent, of whom we have the utmost respect as well as the Manchester City management. What if City called me to include Zinchenko in the negotiation? If it were to do so, we would listen to Napoli’s proposal and try to see what to do.

Atletico Madrid only want to sell Diego Costa. The problem is that no one wants him.

Translation:
This is not [my] opinion; it is emphatic information.

Atletico Madrid, agreed by all parties, including the coaching staff, is clear that the striker who must leave is Diego Costa. 0 doubts.

[The] Problem? There are no concrete offers for him.

Morata, clause, untouchable [i.e. he's not for sale except if his release clause is triggered]

Mourinho's okay with letting go of Rose. He sees both Davies and Ryan Sessegnon ahead of him.

Quote:
If Genoa sign him, I believe they would have a good player. We have Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon, so it will be hard for him. If he goes to Genoa and Serie A, it would be good for him.

Looks like Chelsea and Rennes have come to an agreement on Edouard Mendy.

Im sure we can sweeten the rice deal with some players they were keen on barkely for e.g

Serves West Ham right, if they continue to say Declan's price is £80m, Burnley should dig their heels in for Tarkowski too.

I am sure if Chelsea offered Barkley, Tomori they will accept.

IF a deal is done with rice i would expect it to go like the chilwell deal they said 80 mil but a price done at around 45 ish

Here's what Fofana said in his full interview with L'Equipe:

Quotes:
I got a lot of offers. It’s okay to have checked them with my agents. They didn’t agree to me speaking [publicly]. But what just happened will break something in me. My decision is made: I accept an offer.

[Is it Leicester's offer?] Yes, I’ve always dreamed of playing in England.

Last summer, I had thought about leaving. But as the club did not agree a deal with Salzburg, I stayed, focused 100% on Saint-Étienne. This winter too. This time, I can’t refuse. Where I come from, the northern districts of Marseille and from a not well-off family, that is not possible. I’d be crazy to say no to Leicester. This contract can change my life. I have to protect my family…If you take into account the sporting and financial aspects, I am obliged to say yes. I’m aware [taking risk of going abroad], but I am determined and mentally ready to change my life. By putting in that sum Leicester are proving they really want me. It’s not like I want to leave for a club where there are a lot of centre-backs. It’s a real sporting project.

I went to see the coach yesterday morning, to tell him what happened, that I am not in a right frame of mind, and that I want to leave. I tried, but couldn’t discuss my issues with him. No big deal. I manage on my own. I’m used to it. [Puel said] that I am 100 percent part of the project and that there is no way I will leave during this window.

[On whether he'd take a striker if he isn't allowed to go to Leicester] Actually, I wouldn’t have asked to leave if I knew that was messing the club up. My wish is that everyone is happy. And we can all be. I am worth €30m! Isn’t that crazy? This is my price set by the club after the French Cup final. When the money is there, you have to take it. It would be even crazier to say no. If I stay and don’t have a good season, we’ll all be sorry. And it will be too late. Who can guarantee that I will be worth €40m or €50m [next summer]? Who was sold at this price without playing the Champions League and without being an international? Nobody.

All the clubs are impacted by the health crisis. Besides, in a year it will be almost impossible for a player like me to go to England because of Brexit. Please think carefully about this offer and put yourself in my shoes. Especially the coach. He’s the one who will make the decision. He explained to me yesterday morning that he is not just the coach, he is the general manager. If I understood correctly, this is the boss. He has to think about the club’s best interests and not just the coach’s, right? He knows me very well and he gave me his trust directly. This is to say thank you that I extended, in April (until 2024). During Wednesday’s training, he saw that I was already there, that I see myself better elsewhere. I listen to him and I understand him. But he too must do the same. I hope he will open his heart and listen to me.

As soon as it was known I was considering my future, people got excited on their own even though I didn’t say anything. It’s not like we announced that I’m going to Lyon. Being called a ‘mercenary’, ‘traitor’, has hurt me. But Stéphanois ended up insulting my mother and my little sister, it affected me a lot. I am disgusted. Some have even gone further. It’s hard to talk about…My little sister was targeted in her high school. They insulted her, they pushed her. She does not know football and she suffered that. It’s unacceptable. I saw her cry… I spoke with her, and then I took her to high school. She was the victim of idiots and their behaviour. [That] really weighed on my decision making.

Basically, it looks like he tried the Jonathan David tactic except David didn't sound as stressed out as Fofana is. Fofana even extended his contract recently!

Wonder why they didn't go for Suarez. He seems like a good in between signing, can play LW / CF, so he'll push both Son and Kane.
If Suarez was interested in coming to Spurs, I'm sure they'd chase him. However, Suarez has a very high salary in Barcelona, and I doubt that Spurs would be willing to pay that much for him.

Yeah, kinda what I thought. I feel as though he's rushing it though, he's only 19 and he will definitely be on the move within a season. I don't know his family's life though and maybe money and security right now is more important. I hope he doesn't go and not get minutes. He's not better than Soyuncu and Evans is far more experienced. If they play a back 3 maybe he'll get a lot of minutes though.

If Villa are going to splunk of Martinez, is there another crazy club out there which will pay 8m for Romero?

So relegation threatened clubs last season are spending the money this. Villa looking to spend £50m on 2 players Watkins and Emi

Newcastle spent £35m plus had a bid rejected for £30m for Soumare

Villa still wants Edouard, Rashica, and King too.

Some United-related youth news:

Sotona's a decent player, but if he wants to be paid more than what the club thinks he should be paid, then I'm glad that we've let him go.

EDIT: United announcement
