Same thing was printed about Sanchez before we got rid, so don't lose your minds just yet.

I think we’ll get him. City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have no use for him and I doubt Spurs would rival us.

Considering the teams involved are United and Madrid, these sources are a bit obscure

Do United (and other clubs) just brief these random people and just say to them "Just letting you know that we're ready to make a bid for Player X. Thought we'd keep you in the loop." , before they actually make a firm bid to the selling clubs?

Just curious because these types of nonsense tweets just really hack me off.

I used to be of the opinion that Telles was a good left back option to have. My views on him did a complete 180 when i saw him play live at the Dragao against Liverpool in the 2018-19 season. Even though that Liverpool side was dominant and eventually won the UCL, he was piss poor in everything he did that night; there were times where it seemed like he was one of the slowest players on the pitch.
So he had one bad game that you happened to be at?

It's very strange. You rarely see "Liverpool monitoring" or "Chelsea preparing a move for".

A gigantic keeper who can command the 18 yard box. He's apparently not great with his feet but I'll take that trade off if we no longer concede for fun from crosses and setpieces.

Not the worst trade off in fairness. I dont remember Van der Sar being great with his feet either but that didnt stop him being an all time great. Every team wanting keepers that can pass like Scholes is yet another wonderful thing to thank Pep for.

But hes still crap.

Monda Napoli?

Napoli are linked as well and some agent who works with Napoli gave those quotes apparentaly.

Maybe not the thread for it, but for 10 years ago, Edwin was great with his feet. I appreciate football has moved on now, but at the time he was considered good to very good with the ball at his feet

Lampard has to be top of the list for first manager to get the sack.if they don't hit the ground running he'll be in deep shite.

Lampard is very underrated. I think he is fantastic and he'll do really well. It may take a couple of seasons for his players to gel though.

Bedding in a new keeper, 2 new defenders, 2 new attacking mids and a new striker all at once takes some doing. Seen it before when teams try to change too much at one time.

Think it could take quite a few games before we're able to settle with all these new players. We likely won't see the best Chelsea for a bit. But all teams will likely struggle initially for form under the circumstances.

What's really weird is that we're buying basically a whole new team without getting rid of any notable "deadwood" yet. The likes of Emerson, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Zappacosta are still on our books. Players like Barkley and Jorginho who I struggle to see room for are still here. Our wage bill has got to be stratospheric currently.

Quite the solid window from them tbf, gives Ancelotti quite a bit more to work with compared to the last few years
