He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer, with head coach Frank Lampard still hoping to add a new goalkeeper and possibly a defensive midfielder to his squad before the transfer window shuts next month.

Messi will be player/manager/president of Barcelona in a couple of years. He runs the club, I’m pretty sure he has full control over all the contract renewals. They would slide a paper over and ask what his terms are.
It would after the money goes to them from Chelsea. Real Madrid gave money to Chelsea, who'd have given some to Lille, who'd have then given some to Tubize.
Chelsea
So this isn't anything new. Real Madrid have already paid these fees to Chelsea. This information, however, is new; before people thought that Chelsea were only getting 150 million Euros (bonuses included) when they were actually getting 160 million.I doubt Chelsea would be liable to any such fees, nor Real. Lille would have to as part of any sell on agreement, but no way anyone else after that.
Waiting for Blatter to call out Barca on their modern slavery practices. The Tweet was spawned off of Moi Llorens' Tweet. I'm wondering if he's just relaying information here or confirming what their sources have also relayed to them. Note: the Di Marzio team has a Spanish correspondent now in Matteo Moretto.

Completely agree with this. Terribly short sighted to keep Messi at the club, which again highlights the shambolic management the club is under. They could’ve mutually agreed to let him go for ~150 million and then used that money to get in younger talent.Barca will feel like they've won something today. Then, over the coming weeks and months, the reality of paying in and around a million a week to someone who blatantly and explicitly doesn't want to be there will sink in.

Matt Law is actually a big Villa supporter. But he probably is the best connected in terms of Chelsea news.Calling absolute 'Michael Ballacks' on that rumoured fee. No way Leverkusen have dropped from 90m Euros to less than Kepa. No chance. Isn't Matt Law a huge Chelsea fan too? Sure he is.
Still.... a potentially great signing for Chelsea if he can replicate his Bundesliga form.
According to caf, it is impossible to sign 6,7 first team players in a single window. Looks like Chelsea are doing the impossible

Its a big «achievement» for sure, hats of to Marina Granovskaia. Time will tell if it works out though. Surely at least one or two of them will require some time to find their feet in the PL. How does that affect their season? I’d say they’re ones to watch for 21/22 season though.According to caf, it is impossible to sign 6,7 first team players in a single window.
