This makes no sense. This guy was supposed to have similar talent to Pogba. Why would we be looking to sell him?
In actuality he’s way off the required standard.

Because he doesn't have similar talent to Pogba. This makes no sense. This guy was supposed to have similar talent to Pogba. Why would we be looking to sell him?
Watch him for a few games. You see it in flashes and then you see nothing at all. I think he will develop late in his career if he gets more disciplined. This makes no sense. This guy was supposed to have similar talent to Pogba. Why would we be looking to sell him?
Borthwick-Jackson permanently moves to Oldham.
At one point he looked it. Then had injury issues. A lot of this is luck, can they stay healthy while their body develops?I remember youth ITK's claiming this guy was dead cert to become a top level PL player.
Evidence either to ignore youth ITKs or that the majority of elite talented youth players fail to make the step up.

He doesn’t. Looked decent when he joined but hasn’t kicked on.This makes no sense. This guy was supposed to have similar talent to Pogba. Why would we be looking to sell him?
Injuries and a terrible attitude.I remember youth ITK's claiming this guy was dead cert to become a top level PL player.

Right, there's nothing wrong with that, but he didn't go much further from there. His best performances came in more attacking roles (left wing, attacking left-sided midfielder) where he didn't have to be so disciplined. Even then, he wasn't necessarily creative, and there were several matches where he was poor.Good technique and physical gifts are pretty good things to have for a young player.
Chiesa? I kept him this year, now I have left the door open for whatever he chooses to do, as long as the offer is right. He can leave if he wishes to, for the right offer.
That must sting for the lad, had a high opinion of himself.
By all accounts he refused to play and train with the 23s as he thought he was too good, left on a free thought he'd get straight into the first team somewhere. Now he's at barrow. You know this how?
He looks about 50 years old in that photo.
Not sure if that's confirmed as he had some terrible injury woesBy all accounts he refused to play and train with the 23s as he thought he was too good, left on a free thought he'd get straight into the first team somewhere. Now he's at barrow.
Bournemouth were interested in loaning James Garner and still might be.
Well users on here who follow the youth teams closely, seem to say otherwise, but I have no reason to see why they would lie about that. Not sure if that's confirmed as he had some terrible injury woes
But there could be other clubs interested, it's only a loan after all not a permanent thingDepends on the business Bournemouth do. They have CMs, he might find it hard to get games. If they sell Lerma and Billing he's a lot more likely to play
And no meaning in lending him out to Bournemouth before they get a manager and he confirms that he wants Garner as part of his plansBut there could be other clubs interested, it's only a loan after all not a permanent thing
I've been an avid U23 and U18 follower for about 4 years. I remember Liverpool were sniffing about him and that's about it! Last I heard he was being held together by sticky tape and had considered retiringWell users on here who follow the youth teams closely, seem to say otherwise, but I have no reason to see why they would lie about that.

Yeah, I'd still not rule him out. He just needs to learn how to use his skills to perform at his best.Shame. Maybe we can put a buy-back clause in just in case he figures it out. Some players don't get it right until a bit later. A player like Sadio Mane wasn't really on peoples radar until 23-24.

Yes, definitely.Does anyone else get Bubbles from The Wire vibes from this picture?
Fair enough, if you check the responses I got in the angel gomes thread about him Vs the gribbin situation, there were some pretty damning commentsI've been an avid U23 and U18 follower for about 4 years. He had some injury problems but most of his problems were to do with a massively over inflated egoI've been an avid U23 and U18 follower for about 4 years. Bro - can’t be skipping the dabUghhh
Where have you seen this?Apparently the actual reason the transfer is being held up is the agent fee of 50m. We’re also apparently sceptical about the deal because his agent offered him to Real Madrid for a smaller fee.
