Lose to Chelsea and the mood will plummet to new depths for some, even on day one of the season. We almost need a win on day one of the season.

Thankfully Chelsea lost their best player, in fact, their only player of note and haven't really signed anyone.

Pretty fecking sensible piece of business. Loan with an option to buy. If he can't handle the PL off to Betis he goes. Smart business by Spurs.
Apparently its obligation to buy if Spurs finish in the top 4.

Yeah don't see why we couldn't have gone for a deal like this one.

That's a weird requirement. But okay.

The good ones negotiate and also close deals and are good because of their connections and relationships with clubs, agents and players

How can we end 30 points behind City, sell our number 9 and not get a replacement!!

How the feck did Spurs get that kind of deals?! loan with option tu buy, seriously we must have the dumbest negotiators in the whole league.

Exactly! Why couldn't we have done that with Bruno? All this crap about risky signings. Loan them see if they cut it and if not, back they go. Simples.

16m+41m euros for 80% of the player. Obligation to buy if the finish in the top 4.
How is that a great deal?

Disappointed we couldn’t sort out a deal with Everton for Rojo.

He would have cost them points with red cards and brainless decisions. What a time to be alive seeing Everton as team that could finish ahead of us.

If Maguire, Wan-Bissaka or Pogba get injured we are brutally fecked.

We're going to be stuck with Rojo and rest of deadwood for next 2/3 windows or until contract runs out.

From where did you got that information? In Spurs statement they only mention its a loan deal with OPTION to make it permanent.

You must have some misconception. There is no third party ownership here. They've basically agreed to pay 57m for hi.

According to reports in the Spanish media, it's an obligation to buy if Spurs qualify for CL next year.

Which DOFs fall into this category then?

Raul Sanllehi, Michael Zorc, Fabio Paratici to name 3 quickly off the top of my head, there are more.

Sanllehi especially has been good for Arsenal this window, personal relationships helped them secure Pepe and also Cabelos deals which he brokered and then also the prior loan of Daniel Saurez in Jan

Everton could finish above us this season - what a window they have had.
Lost Gueye.. proven premier league player. Replaced him with Jean-Philippe Gbamin (no clue) and Delph, who is average at best.
Gomes was already there.
Got Sidibe at RB. Backup for Coleman I suppose.
Replaced Lookman with Iwobi

Got in Moise Kean. a 19 year kid with potential.

Is that it?

There have been reports all day of a loan with an option(obligation if spurs qualify for the CL) to buy

Not 3rd party ownership.
Betis are also reserving a percentage of his rights, which will then take the deal close to the €60m Betis want.

Mundo Deportivo explain this a little further, saying Spurs will pay €16m for the initial loan and then purchase option for €41m will get them 80% of the player. That option is only compulsory if Spurs qualify for the Champions League, though.

They can then buy the further 20% of the player that Betis are retaining if a set of variables are met. There’s no explanation of what those variables are at this point.

That Iwobi deal is disappointing for Everton after being linked to the likes of Zaha, Malcom and Neres earlier in the window. Don’t think there was any need to panic like that and especially not at that shocking price.
