Is he a £70m player? I had never heard of him until recent links, interested to see what people think of him. I mean, I think NDombele is without doubt a £65m player

£70m is definitely an ef off price that Betis have set. Hes had one tremendous season but nothing that puts him in that stratosphere.

Under statement, surprised the big two and other big clubs in Europe were not in for him. Interestign to see how he develops, what I have seen of him he looks absolutely superb with the ball for a centre back, almost Koemanesque potentially.

I like Maguire and fee not really relevant....but DeLigt and Hermoso have moved for a combined fee probably within £10m of what we will probably end up paying for Maguire, thats crazy

Hermoso was a definitely an interesting pick up. Will be great to watch a refreshed Atletico next year.

Shaw?

I thought he was one of our better performers last season. I would be putting a lot of other people on ‘last chance’ well before him.

I think he's definitely still playing to prove himself. Mainly because unlike st DM, RW, CB, there are a wealth of options at LB that United could turn to.

Part of the reason we still have dross is we have been unable to identify replacements.

Anyone know why De Gea and Fred aren't playing?

Fred hasn't joined the team yet. Thought everyone knew this.

Dave, we don't know but presumably he doesn't need to play preseason games against minnows as he's definitely first choice. We might see him against Inter, though.

De Gea had a slight fever according to Ole, but they all need to play and gel in this new approach.

Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax NV for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Matthijs de Ligt has been reached for a consideration of € 75 million, payable in five financial years, and additional costs of € 10,5 million.

The "additional costs of €10,5 million" are probably Raiola's fees.

feck all happening at United

I have a bad feeling we won’t sign anybody else.

I gave a bad feeling we won’t sign anybody else.

Same, and we’ll get the “no value in the market” and Ole would come out saying (to save face) we wanted to give players a chance to prove themselves after his pre season since he couldn’t judge them based on last season.

There we go. The annual PSG left-back purchase. I kept being told by the resident PSG fans that my theory wasn’t true but clearly it is. If they had peak Roberto Carlos with Jordi Alba as back-up they’d still be looking for a LB.

Strange, things have gone quite over the last week. Expected more news to come. Maybe we will see something happening in the next 2 weeks, if not it will be a poor transfer season.

I reckon it's because the lads are down under.

What a disaster that would be. I can't imagine going into this season with our current defence and midfield. It would be a sign the owners no longer care whether Manchester United stays in the top 10.

Well, their LBs are sh**e for a team who has the ambition to compete in the ECL. Same at RB.

5 years of instalments, is that a sign of Juve being skint, or being amazing negotiators?

I don't remember anyone from Juve whipping his dick out and proclaiming "we can do things in the transfer market other clubs can only dream of". That probably helped their cause.
