Nah lads come on now. He's not British.

He won't work really really hard, play shite in every match or make his own clothing line.

If Spurs pick him up for a fee like this and we start the season with Mata on the right I think my head might explode.

I know mate, sometimes there really is value in the market and our club just can't see it. It's highly frustrating. They seem so blinkered in the transfer market. Perhaps they've seen him and don't think he's right for us or premier League, or.perhaps they are actually in for him, who knows at this stage.

What I do know is, if Poch was our manager (as I feel he should be if the club had appointed the right man), we would be going after these talents

Is he that much of a talent though? I mean he's been at Zagreb now for a while without being picked up by anyone else, was let go by Barca.
Players like this intrigue me, to me he seems a bit of a gamble, especially for 20 plus mill.

I'm getting bored of seeing us linked with average rated players now, this window is quickly becoming a farce, What are the Utd board doing with players coming in and out, If they think this squad is good enough for the top 6 Ole is a dead man walking.

This is all Ed's doing.

We are linked with a million players and don't conclude anything - keep the fans happy and dreaming.

When we think that the player being talked about is finally going to be ours, then the interest wanes and United start talking about another player.

At this point I'd take any half decent right winger for the sake of balance because we've seen the alternatives already and I don't think I can take another season of Mata/Lingard/Rashford/The Artist Formerly Known As Alexis Sanchez on the right. I'd take Dalot as a starter in that position over that lot and I say that with the greatest of respect.

We need a replacement for Herrera so at around £15 million, I'd definitely take him.

From the little I've seen of him in the Prem, he is very energetic and explosive, has some nice technique on the ball as well but I'm not sure about his passing.

Motivation might be an issue but it could be that he isn't happy at Southhapton.

Can't be worse than half the squad now

Enric Gallego from Huesca to Getafe.

Tekehiuro Tomiyasu from Sint-Truiden to Bologna

Flavien Taint from Angers to Rennes

Denis Bouanga from Nimes to Saint Etienne

The quality is there - he was bigged up in PSG as a teen, no?
Don't know about that tbh. I only ever saw him play in the Prem and he always caught my eye but didn't know he had issues at Southampton, whether they truly are injury-related or more about motivation.

Ditto, Bissaka was actually the one player I wanted us to sign above others that was realistic for several reasons but imagining our window turns into James, Bissaka, Lemina, Longstaff for example is truly awful, let alone as of yet we have barely got rid of any dross or toxic players. Add to that our supposed rivals are adding the likes of Rodri and Dembele, have to wait for the end of the window, but I am in agreement and think something is seriously wrong. This should have been a window with 2/3 big ins and big outs and at least the same number of others n and out too.

Upemecano, Koulibailly, Romagnoli, Ascacibar, Sancho etc etc these are the types we should be all in for, quality is what we need, whatever age they are. How does the likes of James and Longstaff bridge a gap that is arising when we have a side of mediocrity, isnt just the attitude

Meanwhile, we do nothing.

They’ve signed one player available to play in the coming season.

If we’d been linked with Dani Olmo about three weeks ago, there will have no doubt been complaints then.

It's possible he could flatter to deceive and not make the grade. But James at close to 20 mil is a gamble as well and we seem to have taken that one. Arguably Olmo has better ability, and had a great u21 championship. I'd say James is the bigger gamble

We were linked with him before the Spurs links.

Here, some more.

As a TFC fan, I was so happy when I finally learned of that news. We badly needed a winger in our side after having none for the past two years. (Take that United fans!)

Hopefully he works well for us. We badly need more wingers in our team.
