And after that it all dependED on MDL. And its pretty clear, we are not his first choice, maybe not even 2nd or 3rd.

I would rather get Pepe.... He could function as a RW as well as a ST. The benefit of getting Pepe is that we could get Sancho next season to play as the RW and have Pepe play as a ST in place of Lukaku.
