Looked class again last night. There are endless Leicester players I’d quite like here. There’s a club who’s recruitment has been spot on for years now and have been punching above their weight. Complete opposite of United.

Seen him in a few matches and some highlights.

Kid has insane pace. Destroyed city in the cup. Once he gets in his stride he reminds me of Bale. This clip demonstrates his pace perfectly

He seems to be comfortable playing left and right sides so he’s pretty flexible

I want to see us taking more punts on players like him and Godfrey before they go elsewhere and we regret it or pay double 2 years later

Ohhh him, yeah I remember this goal.

I've been saying we should start looking at the lower leagues for players, rather than buying WC players who just want money.

I'd take Kroos. He's been better than Paul over the last 3 years at least
Its strange how Paul gets excuse after excuse but Toni is written off within a sentence with some people

The roles would just be reversed.

Pogba would go to RM and do very well due to the support around him.

Kroos would come here and be a shit show cause of the lack of support around him.

James could be some well needed youthful exuberance, which has unfortunately faded from our own youngsters as of late

But as much as I would love to give that type of signing a chance, if we get James whilst city get Felix, that would be a disaster of a window and will just extend the distance between us and them over the coming years.

Who knows though, James could be our Robertson type signing.

Very likely

The title says the move is in tatters
The first line in the article says the lack of UCL have put a big dent in the move
The second paragraph rates the move as doubtful
The last paragraph class the lack of UCL as a setback in the pursuit of the player

Which is it then Adrian?

Post script: it’s back on folks, just like we reported

At the risk of sounding like Tim Sherwood, I'd actually be delighted to see us bring in some young and hungry British players who might have a greater appreciation for playing at United than our current crop has.

I know nothing about Daniel James, but I really like Maguire. Loves bringing the ball out from the back, he's great in the air (our biggest defensive weakness?), and I still remember how he came across during the WC. The guy was 10 foot tall, he loved every minute of being on the big stage, he really seemed like a man possessed. He was also boss last night against City.

As well as that, these are realistic signings. With rumours of possible outs and the necessity for loads of ins, we will have to be so efficient in order to avoid a soap opera Summer. These signings allow us to do that.
I put out a thread on this a while back and received some support but so many poured scorn and ridicule on it!

Typical Daily Mail bollocks. So what the chances of us signing him have gone from 1% to 0,1%. It wasn't on to begin with. But hey at least they've got some more traffic to their shite website!

Right so A Bola are basically saying City are tapping him up?

A Bola are not reliable. O Jogo are the ones to keep an eye on if they report something.

If a player as young as Sancho really isn't coming because we failed to qualify for champions league then i really don't want him. I want players who want to be a part of the rebuild and are looking to the future. Players who can right the ship, not wait until there is smooth sailing before the jump on board

Looks like we've moved onto the plan B list already.

I like these kind of transfers. Players we haven't heard of that nobody is talking about. I don't know anything about this kid but from watching his youtube video (yeah, I know) the two things that stuck out are that he is equally good on his left as he is his right and he's lightning quick...

Personally I'd be quite happy if two of our summer signing end up being James & Maguire. Lets be honest, we're not winning the league next year or the year after more than likely, so buying the kind of players who form a bedrock of an unspectacular but functional team is probably not a bad idea. GNev pretty much summed up my thoughts on the side with his rant on MNF last night, we need to build a team first and some decent British players would be a good start.

140m plus Kroos? Yes please. I love Bale, but he doesn't love us. He's had many chances to join. Don't see why we should even think about offering him a contract now, not to mention his injury problems...

It won't be 140 PLUS Kroos surely?

Maybe he likes it there, they were challenging for the title, will sign more players in the summer. Think it has been said all along that it would benefit him more staying there for another year. Cannot seeing it helping him coming into this circus.

If we went after any of the players that Leicester has signed over the past few years the Caf would go into meltdown. Most people here want players who are in the spotlight and that would cost 100m plus. I wanted Maguire when he was still at Hull and would have cost under 20m. Everyone laughed and now want him at 70m

If that's the case then that's fine. I'm merely replying to the transfer post which stated that the move is off because we didn't qualify

Everyone was laughing when we went for Mane and Robertson too.

Dortmund had made it clear they weren't looking to sell Sancho this summer despite people saying it is a matter of price and pointing towards them targeting T. Hazard and Brandt as some sort of proof they're replacing him when Hazard would be the Pulisic replacement and Brandt is better in the middle.

Just too easy for the press to say Sancho has changed his mind due to lack of CL football as some of the wet blankets will lap it up, but I agree with you that I'd want players who want to be part of the rebuild rather than just joining when everything is rosy.

According to De Telegraaf in Holland, PSV Eindhoven are prepared to cash in for big bucks this summer.

It’s reckoned club chiefs are ready to sell Steven Bergwijn and Hirving Lozano, as they look to bring in a total of €70million.

They want approximately €35m apiece.

Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal have all been linked with one or the other in recent times.

Thing is, Dortmund have proven that they will sell at the right price. Take that into account and the fact that teams would probably pay as much this seaaon as they would after anther good season, then it's daft to rule it out.

Zorc had previous for making statements saying there's no way they'll sell x, y and z player, only to sell them a matter of weeks later.
