I didnt mean Fekir was injured. But there must have been serious concerns for Pool to turn him down. I think hes more of a shadow striker anyway unlike Bruno.
The thing is Bruno isn't an attacker. Hes primarily a modern free 8 (the likes of KDB and Silva). Has the ability of a 10 but puts in the duties of an 8. Those goals mostly come from extremely accurate long range shots and free kicks.
A lot of Portuguese league players have come to acclimatise pretty well in the PL. Neves for one.
Name them. Neves is not an attacking player, his first season was in championship.

I cant see him stepping down in quality.

And why do you think so? Why would Eriksen want to join us? The only reason I can think of is money. In terms of facilities, squad, coach and chance of winning trophies he's better off staying at Spurs tbh. Real Madrid on the other hand would be an upgrade in most regards, and something truly "new" (different country) if that's what he's after. Also, they'll match us for wages. Then there's the fact that Levy would probably ask us for twice as much as he's quoting Madrid. There is no way we can get him. Not a chance.

In case it's slipped your attention Manchester United are still one of the top football clubs in the world football, fair enough were on a rebuild programme but the reality is were still one of if not the biggest club in the world.

Why wouldn't he move to United from Spurs, honestly some of the negative crap posted about our club gets my back up. Clubs go through transitional periods, it doesn't mean they've suddenly become a small club overnight.

Joke isn't it, honestly blows my mind to think how stupid some people are.

I must be stupid then because I do think a lot would think twice at the moment. Astronomical wages are the main selling point and that's always a problem because better teams can offer good wages + trophies. Hell even Sancho apparently has reservations in our current state.

It's a pointless debate though because it will never happen anyway. Have you forgot about Daniel Levy? Even if Eriksen would like to come we couldn't afford blowing over half our funds on him.

Can he at least stay one more season, we'll need him now more then ever. It's a crucial time to rebuild the team

Julienne Laurent has just said on TalkSport that he wants a new challenge. He was determined to make it work at Utd after the world cup, but Mourinho did not allow it to happen!

Well,if its a case of Uniteds and Real Madrid's offer on the table who do you think Eriksen would choose ?

Yes,we're still a major club off the field ,and we're lucky our past success still keeps us relevant today, but lets not delude ourselves into thinking we're any closer to sorting ourselves on the pitch ,especially in comparison to Spurs.

Plus, with regards to Eriksen's next destination,he's 27 now and I cant imagine him wanting to sign for a club which,at best, will be current nearly men.
Erikson doesn't really want a challenge as such. He's got that at Spurs. He wants a new change of scenery with the likelihood of joining a major club where the trophies are coming in at a consistent rate.

Why have him stay 1 year if the team needs a re-build?
No player is bigger than the club, if he wants to go, he can go.

He's been inconsistent and hasn't delivered what we signed him for anyway, no evidence that him staying will suddenly mean he'll turn into a consistent player.

It'll just be more of the same if he stays, good in spells, abysmal in spells

Then who would you think would sign him?

People are just jumping to the conclusion of Real Madrid but the reality is they've got Hazard and maybe Pogba in their sights, why would they want Eriksen as well. Don't see Barca going in for him either as they've got similar players already.

City no don't need him, Chelsea can't buy anyone and Liverpool don't require him either. So in my eyes he's got PSG, Atletico or Juve left of the big boys in Europe.

Yeah, Mourinho forced him to play in chains and stuff. It's a wonder Pogba could even move, you know, with all the shackles and chains Mourinho forced him to wear.

If a major club,at this moment in time, like Barca,Madrid,Juve,Bayern,City or Liverpool dont go in for Eriksen then,as has been suggested,he'll likely stay put at Tottenham with him either signing a extension or by leaving freely in the summer.

If United and Pogba continue with their financial demands Real will turn to Eriksen.

So a case of ''If you don't sell us your best player who you don't want to sell and for less than you value him at, then we'll just try to sign someone else''

Ok

I hope City miss out on Rodri. Brilliant talent and you just know Pep will transform him. Ndombele too. Hope they end up with Llorente.

All these Tweets are just contradicting each other now and we're only at the start of June. Pogba will take a pay cut to sign. Pogba wants too much money. Bayern bid for Sane rejected, several times. Bayern haven't bid yet. And on and on it goes. It's the fastest I've suffered transfer season burn out.

Yeah it's starting to get really old really fast.

then just come back on deadline day when we've signed one player and have gone full moyesian summer.

Warning - Please read the thread title...

Player we've been linked too. Seems certain he's moving this summer. Interesting we aren't name checked in this though!

Tell you what, contrary to the opiniob of some our fans we're still a huge club. Some would argue that since we're in crisis we suddenly became a shit club nobody wants to join.
But it's a win win for them. If someone like Eriksen would join us they would say he came only for money.

Be infuriating if he goes to Spurs to replace Eriksen.

Would be more infuriating if Spurs get Ceballos from Madrid. Ceballos is the Spanish national team's best midfielder as we speak since his call up despite his lack of game times at Madrid. He was quite promising before his move to Madrid. I recall him dominating Barca's midfield while he was at Real Betis. Shame he went to sit on Madrid's bench after winning the best player in euro u21 tournament.

Who signs their players because they're doing a better job than woodworm.
They don't mess about, but as has been mentioned women are on shorter contracts, so there are always potential signings. So no negotiating fees, just contract length and wages with the players involved.

AC Milan are a huge club too. We are pretty much at their current level now, just a bit richer.
