Not once did I say Pogba is irreplaceable. I said his numbers will be hard to replace and that Fernandes and Tielemans wont necessarily be a success.

Last season, people were saying Fred was going to come in and replace Herrera. Hasnt quite worked and now we're looking for a Herrera replacement.

Pogba, as much as people dont like him, is proven on the world stage and unless we buy De Bruyne, Eriksen, etc - basically a proven world class player, then it will be a risk to just sell him and buy two players and think thats that.

We finished 6th. We've won feck all for 2 years. What's there to lose? He hasn't delivered for what we paid. Being better than jokers like Young and Jones isn't enough. We know he's better than them. They are crap and he's cost us £90m.

I have never seen our fans hang on to a player like this. In vast majority of games this season he's being out ran and out fought by bottom half teams midfielders and people still defend him. Take away his pens and he's had a big standard season yet again. We could get the Aussie lad from Palace to take our pens ffs.

He's an absolute fraud. First it was Fergie then Jose to blame then tactics, now it's the players. Why can't we just accept he's not as good as he thinks he is. He gets caught on the ball all the time and over elaborates everything. He also doesn't track runners and it costs us big time.

People just don't want to admit the truth for some reason. He's a talented player but a flawed one. Been a huge disappointment.

This morning he reports he’s leaving and names Martinez as his successor, hours later he backtracks because Barce release to the press he’s staying.

If he’s not full of shit (and he even apologised) then that’s some fecking turnaround.

Situations don’t change to that degree in a matter of hours.

I think most supporters agree with everything you said. It’s just hard to admit he’s not worked out because the talent is there, the consistency and effort are not. And he was a huge investment so it’s really eating a shit sandwich.

I think he’ll stay because I don’t see any club paying us a transfer fee that we would accept or wages Pogba would accept.

What do you mean what is there to lose? It means we could lose even more quality and put on a bigger downfall than 6th. Tielemans is on loan because he was struggling with Monaco. Bruno Fernandes is a goal scoring midfielder. What makes you think he'll get the same amount of chances in a team without Pogba and why are you so sure Tielemans is going to be an instant hit?

Personally, think it's insane that people want rid of Pogba when he's like the last person who should leave. We need more players of his quality. We don't need someone to carry us, which is what you're saying you want.

If Inter can't afford Lukaku outright - but they're desperate enough to have already had negotiations with the player - Skriniar is the only saleable asset who United might want in return.

If a journalist (take Romero f.ex) that people seem as relatively trustworthy, has got some connections somewhere at the club and gets fed information from time to time, gets told from Bartomeu that he's going to sack Valverde, Romero follows this up by tweeting it, then all of a sudden Bartomeu and Valverde have a meeting, sort their shit out, and he's not getting sacked after all, does that mean Romero is unreliable? The info he got was directly from the Barca President, but the president changed his mind, or lied to the journo to put a narrative out in the media, surely can't be all easy trying to sift through what's legit news and what's bullshit put out there to change public perception or whatever? Just a thought I've been having after reading about these reddit ITK's over the last few days, quouting your post as it was the last I saw talking about journos credibility.

I wouldn't know, I am just trying to figure out how the "tier system" works, I just feel like there's nothing between "transfer god" and "serial bullshitter". Maybe the person being spouted as reliable, while being a bullshitter is the most connected guy, as he just posts what he gets from credible sources, but the sources sometimes lie or things change

100% this, Pogba is the future of United, home grown. Let’s give him the players who can play with him so that every time he does a pass, someone can combine, someone can score, etc... this is how we are going to get out. Fighting without talent = useless. Fighting with talent = unbeatable.

I think it will happen. Knowing how ballistic Conte goes over transfers and his obsession with Lukaku, he must have had assurances from Inter prior to committing to them. He won't let this deal fall through, so we will likely arrive at a solution pretty soon.

Imagine having to PROPERLY replace Ander and upgrade on Matic, then some how get a Pogba replacement. It would be a disaster.

He turned up for 10 weeks pal. Rest of season he couldn't be bothered. His attitude is awful.

The second Cardiff goal sums him up perfectly. Didn't even make the slightest bit of effort to track his man. He then broke free and squared it for another guy to tap in.

Pogba is a liability yet our fans want to blame everything and everybody else.

Doesn't want to be here. It's as clear to me as ever. Get rid of him. Better players out there than him and some that aren't gutless either.

Could realistically sell pogba and have rice rabiot and fernandes to replace, with change left over. Just as an example. I see your point but don't see inconsistent pogba as irreplacable. If he hits this form everybody says he's capable of then great

The problem with Pogba is he doesn’t show the right attitude and application when the game isn’t going his way or when he doesn’t have the ball. I don’t personally want to sell him as there are plenty higher on the list, but, he openly flirts with RM and we need leaders on the pitch if we are getting our squad younger. So if he wanted to go and our valuation was met, I wouldn’t lose any sleep if he left.

Spot on. People forget some off the greatest players at this club were equally surrounded by great players. Anyone see the legends team on the weekend, those players we didnt rate in the 99 team would walk into this one.
Equally the greatest two players in modern football are surrounded for most of their careers by world class players. Its no coincidence.

Me too. On the pitch he still looks a player and does put in a shift up top. No real fitness concerns, and given no takers for him wed be able to negotiate a more reasonable salary.
