The club look inclined to continue on with what they have rather than shake things up some more. I don't know how much they're necessarily offering Hakan, but if Hakan himself is willing to stay, then I'm not sure if Inter will necessarily give him that big of a contract. They're going to give a big contract to Ibra, anyways, if they pursue his renewal.I think they are making a big mistake signing Hakan on. I've never been a fan of his during his time at Leverkusen and besides the last month he has also been nothing more than decent for AC Milan. They would be well advised to sell him while his stock may be high and go for another player to run their offense.
If they give him a big new contract it will only constrain them for a number of years.
Regarding his performances, yeah, they haven't been good for the most part, but that was the case with the rest of the club (bar a couple of players). Now that Milan are finding their groove, he's proving his worth for them.
