Bayern have an unbelievable nerve. They'd demand double that for a player of a similar quality.

City may have to accept it though, Sane's not signing a new contract and could leave on a free in 12 months.

Because when SportBild with their lenghty BS record says it, it must be true...

Why are we allowing their tweets on here then? If they're unreliable shouldn't we blacklist them?

99% of those tweets here end up not being true, even those from "credible" resources.

No chance City accept €40m, just like they wouldn't accept €90m incl add-ons last summer.

Bayern being a bunch of cheapskates shocker.
I bet if City lower their demand to, let's say 55m. They will bid 35m.

Is it weird I want City to stick to their guns on this one? I've had enough of German clubs recently.

Does it have anything to do with a certain German club sticking to its guns?

We need him, City needs to cash in on him. Since they'll hardly part from him before the CL is over, there's still a lot of time for haggling, and endless further tweets of that sort.

No just the arrogance of German clubs and posters in general. English clubs should stick to their guns too and tell em to feck off.

Every club sticks to their guns in negotiations, that always goes for all involved parties. Why getting riled up about it?

I think recent years show that the direction of promising/established players is largely one way - coming to the PL.

Can't have any complaints about German clubs wanting to maximise their assets/try and bring in players who clearly want to join them at a reasonable rate.

Also with the decline of La Liga recently, and the stagnation of Serie A, Europe needs more competitive leagues besides the EPL!

Because in England not team ever sells to us and the competition/money is crazy high but Munch seem to have complete control of the market their to the point, what German team could compete? 9/10 they go Munich and even if they don't munich will pick them up if they're quality. United could never get Sane, but Munich know they have no real competition for Sane. It seems like he's Munchs to pick up cheap. Dortmund have pissed us off being opportunists as a result. Of course all is forgiven once Sancho is signed ...

How many years will Munich be champions now?..

If there was any truth to the offer I would have laughed Bayern out of the joint. In what world do they think Sané is worth 36 mil. He’s probably 60-80 mil even with his contract running out. When he’s fit he’s devistating.

Meunier signs for Dortmund on a free transfer.

Best. We should make an offer for Ndidi.

I am now wondering if this is for depth (ucl or Europa next season) or is because Ndidi is gone. Whilst he isn't as good as Ndidi I feel like he might be too good to just go be a back up.

Great thread. Makes you wonder why Barca are doing this - surely they'd be better off economically just selling Arthur rather than getting saddled with Pjanic in the process.
Because nobody wuld ever pay this fee for Arthur and the same for Pjanic.
They did the same last summer with a keeper (?) so theyre cheating the system to pass finiancial tests.

Juve are helping Barca and Barca are helping Juve. I'd say Barca wouldn't entertain the thought of selling him without being guaranteed to get a replacement in.

Yeah Cillessen to Valencia for 35 million. Neto to Barca for 35 million.

Aye it’s bollocks just a cheap way of getting around FFP. So blatant as well, surely they’ll cotton on to this sooner or later although I don’t know how they could prevent it.

I understand the accounting trade. Both clubs book short term gains, though they have to amortize the cost of the new players on the b/s.

I don't understand the economic trade, surely selling 23-yr old Arthur for 10m Euros and a 30-yr old Pjanic is extremely dumb. Moreover, they'd have to amortize Pjanic's 80 million book value on the balance sheet over the next 4 years, so that's negative 20 million (excluding wages) a year with no recoup. Completely retarded. Barca must be broke...

Barca are just kicking the can down the road. The swap helps them breaking even fiscally and avoiding FFP issues (for now). They might do this until they get Messi and his €100m off of the payroll.

What player are you talking about? Everyone who wanted to leave Bayern was sold for reasonable amounts.

Not so much the ones that were sold but remember some of the rumoured prices quoted for the likes of Muller and Lewandowski?

Probably because Juve dont have 70 odd million to spare that they are willing to spend either.

Just another misstep on the road to ruin for Barcelona. People in Madrid will be watching on with delight.

They have the worst transfer record out of any club in world football over the last 5 years, and in 2-3 years they will have no Messi and half a squad to replace.

It’s bordering on criminal how badly they are run. Setting themselves up to be Milan v2.0.
