James Ducker: Solskjaer has been busy reshaping his squad over the past year and more upheaval is expected this summer. Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, James Maddison, of Leicester City, and Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez are among some of the players United have scouted as they bid to build a squad that can challenge Liverpool and Manchester City’s supremacy.

My personal thoughts are that we will sign Donny Van de Beek and Grealish from the names mentioned by Ducker due to both Solskjaer and Poch being admirers.

I'm not sure we need Grealish AND Maddison..

But Grealish and Sancho is the absolute dream.

If we got all three (I'm 100% sure we won't) then it's a very good window and gives Martial one more season to prove he can be a top striker with creativity behind him.

The rebuild is going to take a while, if we got those 3, it's another very productive window

- Pogba = 130m
Striker & Midfielder needed - +100


Never going to happen. Its Maddison or Grealish for Pogba.

I would assume thats means we want one but are happy with either. I'd take grealish personally, feels more like a united player to me.

- Sanchez 5-10M?
- De Gea? 30-40M
I imagine there will be another couple of departures as well, dare I mention Lingard?

In: Grealish / Neves, Kelvin Phillips (if we sign Grealish) / Ndidi(if we sign Neves), Sancho, Adolfo, Henderson.

Yeahhh remember all the "Targetting 6 signings for the summer" bullshit this time last year.
 
As much as I'd like a CB, if we bought Grealish, Sancho and a striker I'd be really happy.
I'd love Ndidi, but can't have everything!

Pogba is as good as gone in my eyes, so I guess the sale of him will go towards funding this
 
Can’t see us signing both Maddison & Grealish. It will be one or the other.

Sancho would be an absolute dream but not guaranteed as if he plays extremely well at the Euros then he’ll be on everyone’s radar if he isn’t already.

We definitely need a striker as blatantly highlighted this season.
 
I'm seeing De Gea in a lot of these fantasy in/out lists. Who exactly is paying us good money to sign a GK who's been largely out of form for the past 12-18 months and is on 375k p/w?
 
"Targeting" the likes of Sancho, Van de Beek and Maddison is obviously easy to put out in the media even though there's no realistic prospect of them wanting to come, at least not until we get a proper manager in.

I'm sure we'll go in for Grealish, which is fine because I actually rate him above Maddison. And much like Bruno I see him as a player any top manager would be happy to have.

Pogba will definitely be leaving so we'll need more than just Grealish, but Van de Beek will end up going to Real. Maddison will probably sign a contract extension in the next couple of months.

Maddison and Sancho are going to be playing CL football next season. We won't be unless we win the Europa. Never in a million years will we get either unless we qualify. Still probably won't even if we do as both clubs will ask for outrageous money.

Grealish I can see happening to replace the Dabber.

Sancho wont be comming here even if we manage to win the EL and get top 4, he´s one of the top prospects in Europe, will have offers from all the top teams including Barcelona and Madrid if he decides to move why would he come here? as we saw with Dybala real top players wont touch us with a stick. They all see whats happening to Pogba here.

Our best aim is to get the second tier players, Maddison is among those.
 
Why do we feel the need to bring in another attacking midfielder for big money when we just signed Bruno. Shouldn't we rather focus on the striker and DM positions?

That the targets are in line of what we’ve been already signing and seen to be going for in past transfer windows, it makes sense.

You cannot just pass off everything as a PR spin, Man Utd are not some evil corp looking to pull the wool over the fans eyes.

Yup, the fanbase is largely unhappy now and angry. A lot of reactions are overreactions. Amazing how quickly things can change though - a few wins and people will be a lot happier. I trust Ole more than anyone at the club and I trust that he has a plan. I think his changing of the squad is evidence of that. People hate to hear it but he does need some more time.

Apart from the fact that we've repeatedly heard this type of bullshit over and over again from Woodward?

There's no reason to believe the club are spending big this summer.

In all likelihood it'll be one first team player, one squad player and a kid for around 70m net.

I think its because we expect the negative to be more likely given how things have gone the last few years.

What I dont understand is the sheer stupidity of briefing the football world in general that we want 4/5 players in certain positions etc. Even if it is true all this does besides being a nice PR move is alert every money grabbing agent and team looking to offload players or rip us off by charging the usual United tax.

Yeah we saw with United pulling out of the Dybala deal that top players won't come here. Makes perfect sense.
 


As much as I hate we could be buying another CB, the lad looks like a tank and hopefully will be able to stay fit.
