Confirmation that James Robson and Luckhurst are terrible.

And in that moment Luckhurst and Robson have killed the last remaining sense of optimism amongst the Redcafe Muppet folk.
Those b*stards.

Islam Slimani has told #monaco he wants to end his loan and move back to Prem. He’s dropped down pecking order since new manager came in and feels as though he's got a better chance at getting playing time at a smaller club like Manchester United.

Take away his press credentials immediately if this isn't true. That's shocking. He doesn't even know if a player is being signed. My guess is he's been hired to create buzz for the fans. Then it'll turn out it's some youth team player. Journalists simply cannot make these types of mistakes and have a career after.
Who hired him?

F*ck me

The lengths people on this forum will go to to think negatively about the club.

Beggers Belief.

Oooooooh the conspiracy theories.

This is why we have Brexit.

It's not even about that. It's more about the aggressiveness of the Barça board in recognising that losing Suarez mid-season requires immediate attention in order to retain standards in the CL and La Liga. If it wasn't Rodrigo, it's Aube; if not him, it'd be some other fairly high quality target who's attainable.

So, as it relates to us, we've got half a season to get into the top four. We need to capitalise on Spurs and Chelsea's constantly irregular form, but poor recruitment will most certainly mean that it'll become increasingly difficult to accomplish that. In all of our scouting network, are we to believe that Slimani represents the best and most available short-term solution to Rashford's absence? It's a poor stop-gap. Unimaginative.

Yeah, I do agree with you. It just seems that clubs in places like Germany, Spain and Italy seem to be able to purchase off rivals more easily and at reasonable prices.

Ugh - he's their best player and yet again Valencia will sell to Barca it seems. Can't believe no Premiership team was interested.
He's nowhere near being their best player

He's also a striker that doesn't score. Good player though, and can play off the ball which is what barcelona need really

4 goals this season, true, but 8 assists. He scored 15 and 19 the two previous seasons. They'll be a far poorer team without him.

We could really do with these Inter negotiators, been doing some incredible job to get Conte whoever he wants.

Sure they would, but he's nowhere near their best player. That'd be Dani Parejo, by far

19 and 14 goals in all comps for the starting striker of the 4th best team in Spain is not a exactly a great haul. He's broken double digits in the league twice in his career dating back to Benfica...

For the record, Valencia have been trying to sell him since last summer(in fact, they did sell him to atletico, except atletico failed to sell correa and so had to call off the deal). That whole saga ended up with Valencia's manager, DoF and GM being sacked/quitting

It almost feels like the club is egging on fans to do it at this point. How can they look at the current squad and feel happy with it.

Well it depends on what your target is.

Fans want to be champions
Woodward and the board want PL status.

The squad we have is good enough to just about get top 10.

Come the summer, Pogba, Matic probably leave and they wont be replaced.

Fans want to be Champions but most realistic fans would expect at least a push for top 4 this season. We aren't far away and two decent players would give us a fighting chance to get 4th. It certainly won't happen without recruitment.
