Good point.

On the positive side, at least we have a tournament to break up the megathreads and made up nonsense, as people get infuriated by our lack of progress on players we probably had no interest in anyway!

Even if it is true that we were considering him - why would Leicester help us out :wenger:

Sky said:
Strikers Odion Ighalo and Islam Slimani are loan targets for Manchester United following Marcus Rashford's injury.

Former Watford forward Ighalo is with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua and has two years left on his contract while Slimani is on loan at Monaco from Leicester.

Seems a bit evidence free though. Not even 'Sky sources understands'

If those links are genuine, it’s really just about getting bodies, rather than quality. Who the feck is identifying and approving these moves?

If you were involved with Man Utd and a scout came to you with the recommendation of Slimani or Ighalo, you’d consider it an act of betrayal and demand he tender his resignation. At the very least you would have serious doubts about his ability and understanding of what his role entails. Bizarre.

Have we ever tracked a flight from China? God help us. Could be a long one if Ighalo is incoming.

IghaloN or IgahloFF?

I hope we do get one of them. It will only elevate tensions between fans and the club.

Don't think the M.E.N. are taking it too seriously.

Odion Ighalo on United radar?
If you’d thought Islam Slimani was a faintly ridiculous United transfer rumour, strap yourselves in for this.
Sky Sports report that former Watford striker Odion Ighalo is on United’s radar ahead of a possible January move.
He’s now at Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua and United are reportedly viewing him as a short term solution up front with Marcus Rashford injured.
Right. What next?

Not that I put too much trust in Palmeri, but there seems to have been a steady stream of reports from both sides of the Alps with a similar message. German Sky even puts a loan with an option to buy on the table.

Yeah neither of those are true but this is a very good indicator of how we're perceived at the moment - we are literally Banter FC. It is open season on us and everyone is taking aim, it's embarrassing.

Did anyone actually think there were world class strikers that would be made available for half a season loan? Its is just a case of getting bodies in to ease the game time on Martial and Greenwood. Its ridiculous we're in this situation of course but the solution was always going to be underwhelming.
