They are looking for prospects on good prices. If you have a reputation of building up young players in a decent league with CL football, they will come to you. Pretty simple if you ask me

Dortmund know the market, have good contacts, have a system in place, are stable and a good proposition for talents. They are well run and a perfect stepping stone

Hardly a reliable one, he is injured most of the time and will only get worse as years go by, if we manage someone stupid enough to take him from us we should sell him right awsy.

I nuch rather have promising youngsters that can push the starters rather than deadwood that just cashing the paychecks.
 
Sky reporting he has another release clause in his Dortmund contract, they’re saying we refused to put this in which is where talks broke down.

If that’s true then I say fair enough, see how he does in the next few years, then hit that release button.

Your priorities are all messed up. We have 2 good left backs and loads of CB. IF martial or Rashford gets injured, we have no cover and will have to play Lingard.
 
We need a CM and Forward who can give us option be it on a wing or upfront. Lingard should not be even making the bench.

The Spin is we wouldn't sign him because of the clause, if De Ligt or Haaland wanted to come here, they would be here, regardless of the clause.

Why would we ever sign a player when we’d have no control over when they would leave? The De Ligt one I feel less so about cause it’s rumoured to be €150m but I cannot imagine Haaland’s being too big.

Imagine two seasons of him hypothetically being lethal, club X comes in with less than his market value and we’d have no choice over the matter.

I’d completely agree with them pulling out over this.

Because there will be other fees attached to it that are hidden. More than likely, they lose a hell of a lot further down the track if he turns into a super star because he wont hang around down there. I'd say RB have a % sell on fee.

Absolutely no chance we'd agree to clauses. If that's a deal breaker, it's a deal breaker.

That is the facts. An agent negotiates the terms on a players behalf, not against the players wishes from my understanding. That's why I keep questioning why fans think we will have any credible chance at landing Sancho. He'll have a pick of Europe's best clubs, the same way Dembele and Mbappe did. Haaland had a slightly lower pick of the bunch (if rumours are to be believed) and we couldn't get it over the line.

If Solskjaer is in the job until summer we will see why the importance of managerial pull still accounts for much when the club's circumstances are detestable. We actively tried for De Ligt, Dybala, Haaland and I'm sure the list will continue as time prolongs itself. It's more of a reality check for us then anything else. The only other platform for success is coaching players into a position of development such as seen with Klopp, but we don't have the coaching staff to turn the likes of a Mane / Salah into the world's best from being decent level performers.
