Doom-monger obsessed with Herrera & the M.E.N.
Not much of an alternative then?
Imagine someone being sent abroad to watch someone and he is sat in a bar watching a PL game.Maybe our 50 scouts only watch the Premier League.
Could see several of those players going to Spurs.Ziyech 25m
Bruno 35m
Alderweireld 25m
Rabiot Free
Telles 35m
(Some will be in Euro, while others in £)
I'd love to know what other release clauses are out there...
The above costing somewhere in the region of 120m, and we're talking about getting the same for Pogba...
Edit:
Brandt 25m
Sensible business is not in Woodwards playbook.Looking at the above release clauses, we could realistically sign 6 players under 150m and all our spending could be recouped just by selling Pogba. Infact, we will be in negative net spend.
Incoming
Muenier 25M
Brandt 25m
Alderweirald 25m
Tellas 30m
Bruno 30m
Rabiot free
So for 135m, we can realistically sign 6 great players who are at good age. We can even go nuts on Sancho and Felix for combined 180m, that will take our spending to 315m, from which we can recoup easily 200m with our outgoings and have a net spend of 115n only. I hope and wish Ole does a rebuilding like LVG albeit with better recruitment.
Outs
Pogba 150m
Bailly 20m
Rojo 5m
Darmian 5m
Jones 10m
Perriera 10m
Lineup next season
DDG
Muenier Alderweirald Smalling Shaw/Tellas
Sancho Rabiot Bruno Brandt Martial
Felix
We’ll probably buy Trippier whilst Spurs spend the money on Wan-Bissaka who will no doubt end up being one of the best full backs in the league.
No problem though a bid in 3-4 years time for triple his current value will probably be on the cards.

Given the state of the club, i don't see how that's far from realityImagine someone being sent abroad to watch someone and he is sat in a bar watching a PL game.
Why would we buy either when we have many positions that need improving and Meunier is available cheaper?

The RB Leipzig star has been speaking to SportBild, and when asked his ‘biggest dream’, the 21 year old midfielder said: “I like Manchester United very much and watch as many games as possible. I dream of playing there. But at the moment I am very satisfied with RB Leipzig. Our big goal is to get into the Champions League.”

He's a player who moved to Leipzig in December from Salzburg.
Had a cruciate ligament injury and returned last month.
Here you go :
Sounds about right. Thanks Damien.
Cheers mate, not one to get excited about then.
He can be a good player. Was a massive success at RB Salzburg and given his age, he can become a very good player. After seeing him play 2 or 3 games, I was sure that he will be taken by RB Leipzig like the other talents beforeSounds about right. Thanks Damien.

Bruno & Ziyech are my 2 muppet summer signings. I saw on twitter somewhere that we actually got linked to Ziyech today
He’s a big talent.

He's a kid coming off a bad injury who has barely played any football in a top 5 league, not what we need right now, we have those kinds of players.
Nobody is saying we should sign him. All of that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a highly rated young player.
So we are now going for a spurs reject? I can do a better job than these scouts. Seriously?
Is it so tough identify a FB from other leagues ?
Good to see you’ve taken on board Ole’s wish to have a strong English core to the team
Seriously lads wake up with all this fantasy stuff. United have always had 4/5 English/Scottish/Irish guys in the team. That won’t change.
Woodward reportedly likes Trippier and wants to get him in.
Solskjaer apparently prefers AWB, but Woodward usually gets his way (see Mourinho last summer).

Generally, Irish and Scottish players are crap though. Wouldn't see Manchester City or Liverpool having half their team full of Irish, Scottish and English players. Times have changed and we need to move on. So we should basically sign Irish, Scottish or English players as they used to be half of Man United team even though they are generally crap and won't win you a title. Living in the past is all I say. The only English/Irish/Scottish players I would have would be Jadon Sancho and Aaron Wan Bissika.

I mean why on earth would he prefer trippier if he's bothered about image? He's 29 and not very good. AWB is by far and away the better option if it was between the two, it's painfully obvious to see. I don't believe that for a second.
he probably saw us paying owen, falcao, hargreaves, saha and rojo and thought yay ! free money, they take my type. He's a player who moved to Leipzig in December from Salzburg.

Didn't realise Leipzig took him. He was very impressive for Salzburg in the Europa League. He's a player who moved to Leipzig in December from Salzburg.

I'm not denying they've been shocking, just when has he ever overruled a manager because he "prefers" them. At least not sanctioning the Alderweireld deal, if that's to be believed, had logic.Woodward would reportedly buy half the England World Cup squad from last summer, if he could.
As for not believing it, surely in the last 6 years Woodward has done more than enough to prove his utter incompetence regarding football matters. I don't know why anyone would be surprised by anything he (or the club) does in this area.
