Time to get behind the team now people.

We haven't brought in anywhere near what we had hoped for, but what is done is done. We still have some top quality footballers in this team and who knows maybe a summer of less additions may benefit the squad as a whole.

Roll on tomorrow night

Everton, Wolves and Fulham have won this window comfortably. Hugely improved their squads.

There’s no point of Zidane when the people behind our transfer dealings are idiots. Mourinho provided Woodward a list of targets months back, but Woodward did feck all.
As if you know anything. At what point will people stop taking everything being said so easily. Anything seems plausible when it suits an agenda.

Exactly. And loaning money to the selling clubs in the progress... As much as bent over for someone as it gets. Pathetic

Err, I was assuming it's a first-option clause. Nothing wrong with that.

Question,
if a club, lets say us, made agreement with player and club, and send papers to FA, before 17:00, can they anounce player, at, for example 10 PM?

Exactly. Woodward answers to the Board and shareholders. He is not a God.

There’s still time to sign good players. We can register players for UCL until August. I would rather we signed the right player by the August deadline than signing the wrong player at a more expensive price by today’s deadline. We can compete for the PL with the squad we have, and if we sign someone in the next few weeks, they will play the CL matches, and still be available to play for us after January, the business end of the season.

I also think it may be easier to land Alderweireld before the August deadline, because a) by now it’s clear nobody will pay £75m for him, b) he won’t be available for half a season to PL to us so its less of an issue of strengthening the competitor, c) waiting till January won’t improve the price, d) he will likely be sat in the bench for Spurs, and e) the final option for Spurs to keep the player and extend the contract means that Asset will be worth £25m. Better £40m now.

Worst transfer window in recent history . I have no faith in the hierarchy of the club to achieve the goals our club formally asosisated ourselves with. If they aren’t going to back the manager then get rid of him. The fact that they continutned with this despite not supporting the manager speaks volumes about those in power.
Feels like it, but isn't: Moyes & Ed's inaugural shite-fest was infinitely worse.

 I swear some of you are more interested in us signing players than us winning matches.

The squad is as good as it was last season, with some players more bedded in plus a few signings.

 I’d give it another watch mate, they actually said the opposite to what you’ve said.

Err no that clip wasn’t the full interview, hence why that guy on the right was talking in mid conversation. He was asked a question before and he said he had a message for the pundits who think Everton had ruined the window but are about to win it.

Maybe because the board don't believe in Mourinho....which begs the ?....why don't they just sack him already?

Wait a second didn't our manager say he wanted two more signings? Even he thinks our squad/first team isn't good enough to challenge

It is? Buy back clause I thought of Morata fixed fee case which Real triggered with no other clubs and Juventus can do anything about. Barcelona had a buy back transfer on Deulofeu from Everton not long ago too.

Everton have smashed it, 3 signings announced in the last 10 minutes. Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Bernard.

Oh come on! He had a list, when you go to Aldi with a list you don't miss any items.

Isn't it only triggered if Everton want to sell him?

The same manager you all label as clueless week in week out. Which is it?

Just support what we have, nothing else really matters.

No. There is expiration. Barcelona felt he may worth more money reselling later themselves and get him back similar to Morata-Madrid. Not always working out, but buyback gives much deciding power to initial clubs. It's same reason Juventus didn't focus on Morata development since his second season there. Juventus saw what's coming and plan for their future knowing Morata would come back to Madrid for cheap

Do you not think the two things are linked?

I didn't say that.

I just mean, some posters get more angry about a perceived lack of signings than they enjoy winning football games.
