It's funny how the asking price we put on our players is always too high for the cheap skate clubs that want them, but whenever we want a player other clubs are happy to slap on an extortionate price tag.

The players we want tend to play a lot for the club we want them from and they're not keen on selling, whereas the players other teams want (Darmian, Blind) have barely played and we want rid of them.

Our average players are on very high salaries even compared to other top tier clubs. That means when we want to move them on, the acquiring club will also pay them a high salary at least for a year or two. So then they want to lower the transfer price to compensate.

In other cases, the player we are selling is older and without great potential, which brings down the potential resale value. If the resale value is low, the transfer price needs to come down.

Blind has one year left on his contract and is struggling to make the bench, we're not going to make much. Think the club will let him go back home eventually.

I don't see why we would stop Blind from going back home for a few millions. He has been a top pro for us..

Obviously, if we feel they can pay more, we shouldnt give them a discount.. but if they really are short on money, then they will get Blind for a few million less... And we put on a sell on clause so they dont try and move him on for a profit in a year.

Is Ajax trying rob us blind? 17mil Euro is nothing in this market
