If they sign Griezmann I find it hard to believe that they'll also be in for Coutinho.
Yeah. Thats what my thinking too. Its actually a bad news for us. Liverpool get to keep their best player while we lose out on potential world class player.

Barca won't spend that much to play Coutinho further away from goal and shackle him with defensive responsibilities.
Add in Busquets and Paulinho who is vital to cover Messi's lack of workrate.
That would leave 4 in a forward 3 with no natural position for Griezmann.
It simply will not happen.

I've heard that the Chelsea youngsters have to sign long term deals before they are allowed to go on loan.

No deal and you rot in the reserves.

Yeah, I read that on here somewhere. Would fit the rumour!

Yeah it’s true it was me that posted it.

Coutinho is being signed as the Iniesta replacement in midfield.

Griezmann to play further forward.

Thats going to cost them over 200m euros, they haven't got that sought of money to spend.

Can't they use the Neymar money to net off against?

They probably have an x transfer budget which allowed them to get Semundo etc. And then a part of Dembele. Neymar probably boosted their budget a fair bit higher.

"Pepe Reina will sign for Milan"

Funny how LFC replaced him with two average GKs and still haven't found a first choice.

I was excited to see some activity in this thread and then saw sources were Miguel Delaney and ElChiringito! Have they ever called any transfer right? That Vidal saga still gives me nightmares.

Dortmund sold him to us for 30 million with a year left on his contract, and market prices have inflated since then. They better be prepared to pay up.

I've been a huge supporter of Mhikitaryan but honestly, he's been absolutely awful. I don't understand what he expects from Mourinho? He's playinig like crap and has done nothing to elevate his performances. If Lingard can come in and do the job, Mhiki you need to accept you've been crap this season. Mhiki is a good player but I don't think he's cut out for the PL. He needs to be shipped back to Dortmund. With the way Inter have behaced with regards to Perisic, I would sell Mhiki to them. Instead I would use Mhiki as a bargaining chip to get Weigl or Pulisic.

Difference is he was a key player at Dortmund when we bought him and now we're not really in a position of strength to demand a big fee as he can't even make the matchday squad most of the time.

He's still worth £30m in this market.

If there are English teams interested then it'd be a reasonable price, but there's no way Inter or Dortmund would even get close to that fee.

Thing is, it's blatantly obvious that he's finished here, so we could be forced to sell him on the cheap.

@Nick7
They spent months fecking us around, we would agree a fee and they would raise their price.
We sign Lukaku and Madrid agree a lesser fee with Chelsea within days.
So yeah..

Yeah that's true. Though, I don't see many positives in selling him in January for a low fee, given that when he's on form he's considerably better than Lingard. If we're dealing with Dortmund or Inter, we should be firm and insist that either they pay the fee we want or they trade with one of their players as part of the deal. We sold Kagawa for very little (~£6m) back to Dortmund and it did us no favours when trying to get Miki, so I'd rather we be more aggressive in the market.

Doesn't matter. He is still worth more than £20 million.
