It's got the same feel as what I'm terrified will happen when Giggs gets in. His mates will all get the call. Scholsey will be first in.

Can't help but think we're going to have to let United get the Co92 out of their system before we truely modernise.
 
Mane's the only one we'll get and that won't be till after January 23rd when we've played Southampton in the league.

Because even if we have identified a player we want to sign, the selling club will try to extort every penny out of the deal by holding it up until as close to the deadline as possible.

Indeed. We need quality.
I don't want another squad player who will warm the bench.
We need goals and a squad player (of the same class as Rooney, Mata, Memphis) won't help us score goals. He'll just become another non-goal scorer, along with our current non-goal scorers.
Unfortunately, quality players probably won't be available in January, so I'm expecting us to buy no one of any true value. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see us improving our team during January.
LVG should've put his foot down in the Summer to buy another attacker (in addition to Martial) and this has cost him dear.

Why the heck do some fans think as soon as the transfer window opens, players must immediately transfer when the reality is that most of those players who move don't do it within the first 10 days.

:D Apparently United don't give a shit about your nerves.

As @sunama said, you need quality, not quantity. Moreover, quality players can be more difficult to get these days than in the past.

That's an invented story anyway. Aubameyang is so not a LvG type of player.

Shame it'll be at City. We're so obsessed with 'galactico' signings (apparently), getting Pep in would put us right back in the spotlight in a positive way and would have us playing better and better positioned to sign top players to boot.

What if we tried as pep chose city over us because of his friends and because they have a better squad?
