Considering the form of our current strikers, yes.
Yeah but the question was asked from and arsenal perspective.

Just because another team has shit strikers doesn't mean you should be happy with it also

Whilst Mendes and Benfica boss are in England, they also plan to try and sell Eduardo Salvio. Liverpool on agenda... http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/agent-flies-in-for-liverpool-talks-club-want-40m-winger-sterling-…

Sport Witness‏@Sport_Witness
Tottenham could also be a destination for Salvio, but they're not a club with a record of following Benfica. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/tottenham-on-agenda-as-agent-flies-to-london-to-sell-argentine…

Even from their perspective, yes. He is very good in their link-up play and brings a lot to the table. He should have a partner up front though.

On Gaitan, reports in Portugal that Mendes has flown in to London to secure a Man United or Chelsea transfer. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/mendes-in-england-to-do-deal-for-25m-winger-to-join-man-united…

Van Gaal is a man of his word. He said we'd get business done early, and here we are getting our obligatory Gaitan link out of the way before the end of May. Chuck in Sneijder, and Garay as an alternative to Otamendi, over the weekend and I'd say he and Woody mean business.

Gaining momentum?

Sensible valuation from us. That must be about 45M quid. Exchange rate helps obviously, but I doubt Real will sell at a loss.

Jackson Martinez is off to Arsenal, apparently. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/arsenal-have-agreement-in-principle-to-sign-25m-striker-he-s-said…

Sport Witness‏@Sport_Witness
It's claimed Arsenal have some kind of agreement in principle to sign Jackson Martinez and that he said goodbye to Porto last night.

Sport Witness‏@Sport_Witness
Jackson Martinez has a buyout clause of €35m/£25m, but it's reckoned Arsenal can get him for cheaper.

No way they get him cheaper then the buyout clause. It's Porto they're dealing with.

Love to read reports where they say how X club can get player for X amount and maybe even cheaper but when we are after someone for 22-25 mil. they add at least 10 more mil on top

Gaitan rumours again  He should just feck off to Russia like Garay did so the rumours could stop once and for all.

It's a bit late to sell Gaitan quickly isn't it? They've been trying to get us to sign him for 3 years already. It's the same with Cavani, we're obviously not interested but the agent or club are planting these stories to drum up some interest.

Casillas: Of course I'd like De Gea to join Real Madrid!
riiiight.

Also from it:
The 'Los Blancos' captain also reiterated that he has no intention of leaving the Bernabéu. "Do you see yourself at Real Madrid next year?" he was asked, to which he snapped, "Yes, I'm going to stay. Do I have to tell you that again?".

Good news.

I feel one of the reasons that will play a part in de gea' decision would be where Casillas is as I Doubt he wants to make the move till Casillas is out of the club completely. Casillas staying should put him off.

We're gonna sign Gaitan, Sneijder, Garay and Guarin. Best window ever.

Gaitan, Sneijder, Garay, Guarin, Cavani.

If it was 2010 I'd be really excited.

The transfer window hasn't even opened and I already wish it was over.

If arsenal sign Martinez and Schneiderlin then they'll be serious contenders in every competition.
