I wouldn't go jumping for joy about Ando's departure just yet. I'm sure many teams have come in for him in the past, but he chose not to move because they couldn't or wouldn't pay him what we were paying him.

I refuse to get invested in it, but if by some miracle we got him I might just about break my cock off.

To be fair I've looked down his tweets and he seems to not be a wum. However, he could be deleting all his BS from the Summer. Also, this tweet would be easy to bullshit, because on Monday when inevitable Hummels is no where near signing for us he could just say ''Well it broke down on Saturday, I never said it would happen for definite.''

Bullshit for me.

I'm debating whether to invest in it. On one hand, I don't think it will happen, but I do love to excite myself over potential transfers, usually ends badly though,

Wouldn't be overjoyed with Hummels. He's a good defender but very overrated at that price. 25 million is about his level. I had hoped we would go for Varane.

First we can sell Anderson, then we can buy Hummels… Muppet mode in full power (almost Kyubi mode then)

Guys seriously, even if we had Di Maria, this summer we only attracted second rank player except Di Maria (Falcao was more a win win thing). Shaw, Herrera, Blind, Rojo…

Hummels is one of the best and I’ve still some doubt with that. But that would be a major boost it’s true (muppet mode is back)

I'm sure Hummels just the other day said he wouldn't be leaving Dortmund.

The BVB captain continues to be linked with Louis van Gaal's Manchester United this week.

But Hummels says: "I can not imagine it.

"For me, there is always rumours about leaving. But I am still here!

"I'll just keep going as I have been for the past seven years. I'll let everything come to me and just focus on the next game."

Come on man, none of us are Anderson fans but have some humanity. He deserves better than having to ride shotgun in your Corolla...

Hey, that car is a beast I'll have you know. It's got me out of many a sticky situation, and I'm sure Ando will be more than happy to ride shotgun providing we visit every McDonalds drive-thru en-route. :D

Last summer was unbelievable imo 6 quality signings!!! All are unlikely to work out but that was great work done by Mr Ed Woodward!!

Don't think there's any chance that we'll get a deal for Hummels done by the end of the window. Probably just putting in some ground work like we did with Shaw.

This would be Ed's best performance of his career, I mean, if he pulls Hummels, a player that doesn't wanna leave, from a club that does not want to sell, in January 29... I'll just hand him my cock.

Problem with Dortmund is, and i said at the start of the season in a reus thread when they were still in a position of relative strength in their league, is their current squad has run its course and its been proven even more right as they've completely capitulated in the league. there is absolutely no chance of them competing with bayern for the foreseeable future domestically and can anyone seriously expect them to get to another champions league final?

them taking BIG money offers for the last of their current core would allow them to completely retool on talented young players to rebuild their next side.

When Chelsea want to buy a player they really don't feck around, do they?

They have an efficiency about them over the past couple seasons. Same could be said for City, just a weird turn of events that we turned out to be the clown college all of a sudden.

We did get Shaw and Herrera quite quickly, Blind and Rojo also (with Rojo there was a different problem), so.... I wouldn't say that we are not efficient.

Schurrle out and Cuadrado in while making a profit. Smart work by Chelsea yet again.

The annoying thing is that you just know if we we were the one's selling Schurrle, and he was less than impressive for us like he's been for Chelsea, we'd sell him for a massive loss.

Chelsea have done some really smart business in recent times, in terms of outgoing and ingoing transfers.

We're going to struggle to over take Chelsea, they are just effeicient on and off the pitch.

Considering he's had a season where his mainly been injured and out of form the thought of spending anywhere near £37m for him is just daft, there are better options out there and i'd rather we waited until the summer before spending such a large amount on another player again.

Like Madrid, they sell when they need to. They could give Schurrle more time and opportunity, but if they have a decent bid on the table then they take it now. If you remember, we had a decent bid from PSG for Berbatov the season before he eventually went, but didn't sell him, probably to give him another chance. Eventually he went for peanuts.

Remind me very much of Bayern Munich in the way they do deals. Identify target, pay the money, sign the player. Process done and dusted within a week.

No other clubs were really after Herrera, Rojo, or Blind. Herrera the summer before had interest from Barca but nothing came of it. We basically had a free run at all three of them.

No club other than us was mad enough to pay £30m for Shaw. We were always going to get him after the huge price tag was known. None of these players came here after long transfer battles with other huge clubs.

Who had interest in Costa, Cuadrado, Fabregas (Fabregas was officially rejected by some clubs)? Chelsea was in for Shaw, but we outbid them.

Chelsea paid release clause for Costa and 33mil euros is a lot of money for Guardado (he would cost the same even if euro was stronger as it is almost the release clause).

For Willian they have paid 30mil pounds....

It's not like they are doing great deals when they pay for players, as most of them cost lot of money, and also they are the club who pays most for agents. They just sell good.

When we get outbid, we are clueless, when we outbid other clubs then we are mad. The club just can't win with some of you. Chelsea were in for Shaw and the general consensus among United fans last summer was that he would end up there; to get him, we had to OUTBID them and that's what we did. No one was really in for Costa, Luis and Cuadrado and in those 3 cases, they simply paid the release clause. I know we haven't been particularly stellar in the market, but some of you are too negative.

Spot on.
