Good, players that love the club are still here. He knows what the club is about.
Have to love Anders, top man.

According to Anders' agent there was never serious interest for him, so he was never even close to leave the club.
He was allowed by the club to search the market if he could find a suitor that felt right for him, where he'd get regularly first team action, but according to his agent the interest in goalkeepers this summer was 'almost non existent' and therefore a move away was never really in the cards.

Then went on to mention that United loved Anders' spirit and willingness to work and that he's 100% committed to keep working hard to try and win his chance.

he doesnt have to do anything, being a no.2 keeper behind someone not injury prone is the best job on the planet. your effectively alex moran from blue mountain state.
Well he wanted a move this summer so he could play, the club were prepared to allow him leave for nothing because of his professionalism. A move never materialized for him, unfortunately. Still a good 'keeper to have around, surprised there weren't many offers.

Just stumbled on this tweet:

If that's true, then Mendes must've worked some magic convincing United that a permanent deal now would make more sense than next summer, get a knock off the price from Monaco perhaps? Lower wage demands from Falcao in return for securing his future?

So Ronaldo actually wanted Falcao? Odd, Benzema actually likes to come for the ball and drift wide, allowing Ronaldo to as central and into the box as much as possible. Falcao wouldn't have done the same.

Mendes clients loves other Mendes clients, isn't that pretty much the truth?

 I had the same thought. Love that our local pay TV in SA are doing a special broadcast of deadline day. Waiting for Falcao
Guaranteed supersport will cut it off before we hear about Falcao.

I'd imagine Ronaldo wasn't too pleased to see Di Maria move either.

Just heard that they have until 1 to complete his move.
But i really can't see Welbeck moving to Arsenal if our deal for Falcao falls through. I imagine we'd pull the plug and then sell Welbeck in the next window/next summer

Speculating on SSN that that's why the Welbeck deal is taking so much time. Makes sense. Would be daft to sell him before being sure we've acquired a third striker (in no particular order)

I think for us to be given the extension the deal has to be a pretty close to completion. Sure it will happen.

That would be sweet alright..

Allows me to save a few extra quid so..

Yup, to be fair, i don't think the deal will fall through though in all honesty. I can't see United going all out on a transfer if they didn't think they could get it done in time. Plus if he'd failed his medical, we'd have known a lot sooner in the evening

Find it funny that once upon a time, a host of clubs would have paid £20 odd million for him, including us.

He was a very promising defender to be fair. Remember his performance at centre back against us was one of the best I had seen in a while....lets hope we arent having a similar conversation about Phil Jones in 4/5 years

Fingers crossed yeah. To get an extension you have to submit the majority of the paperwork from what they were saying on SSN earlier. So you would think it's just finalising details.
