Loads going with James Rodriguez. As he been heavily linked with us again recently or something? everytime iv seen him play he's look really average, he plays so much like an English player it's unreal. Little flair, not the fastest and he's not exactly full of goals either. Maybe iv just seen him on off days or something I dont know.

Yeah, looks like a definite downgrade on Nani from what I've seen.

English type player ? Yoy haven't seen enough then. He doesn't kick and run much at all and is a pretty good false winger/playmaker.

We've been linked with him a lot and SAF even mentioned him last summer saying Porto were tough to deal with IIRC. Also, we have been scouting a lot in Portugal recently so if we want a wide player then he might be a pretty likely bet as hype around him has gone down a bit this season with injuries.

What goes against him though is that he is not a ball carrier and dribbler which we like, and basically Januzaj who is coming up is a similar sort of player.

Agreed, but I just can't see him at United as an integral player either! His performances on the whole have not cut the mustard this season, IMO and I think Kagawa would be the much better option behind RVP than Rooney ever will be.

Time will tell I s'pose!

Unfortunately, I don't know mate. It'll probably be reported as mutual agreement but i can't help thinking that it'll be the club who feel we don't need him as much any more

Just based on the last few games, where Rooney has been shunted around, left out of games (not just madrid match, but against chelsea too) I think SAF is not too bothered if he stays or not, and letting him know that. Its up to Rooney to kick on and show SAF that he is integral to the club's future, but to be honest, his performances have led me to believe he's on his way.

Edited: The only thing is there wont be many suitors for him in the summer. I can only think of Chelsea (Mourinho always liked him) or ManCity (it will trump the Tevez buy), but SAF will never sell him to a rival in England, so it depends which foreign clubs come asking for him...can only think of PSG or Madrid and neither seem that interested in him.

4/15 – failing to foresee Monaco’s lottery win obviously hurt here, and I also didn’t think the trigger would be pulled on the Bale and Neymar deals this summer. I thought Lewandowski to us was a strong link (along with Sir Alex’s love of strikers) and I also thought there was a good chance of Dortmund dealing with us in order to get something for him, but more importantly keep him away from Bayern.
