Jim White day again? fecking hell.
Here we ago, if we don't sign a striker after today I'll cry.
I'm actually looking forward to it. I'm pathetic, i know.
I hate this day, so much potential for crushing disapointment.
I can see Arsenal signing one or two.
As for United, Don't think we'll sign anyone else! As for crushing disappointments, there will never be a worse deadline day than the one united had to endure last year...missing out on herrera, thinking we've signed coentrao and then ending up with fellaini and seeing Ozil go to ye!
This is the only day I actually pay any attention to the transfer nonsense. Hopefully we get a striker.
I hate Jim White and everything about Sky on this day, but its hard not to follow it.

Last summer was weird. We had the Herrera nonsense for ages, then in the last 5 minutes signed Coentrao, sold Coentrao and bought in Fellaini. When Jim White read out the fee i think i threw something but i can't be sure.
That was a dreadful day.Any links or is that a shot in the dark?
We'll announce Blind and that will be it. Hoping for some outgoings though.

It's amazing how with the quality we've brought in (I think it has to qualify as our best ever window) that we're still not completely satisfied. We're still a tad short of quality at CB, and quality and numbers in CM. Plus RB is a troublesome area. Valencia, Young and Ando continue to hang around. Just goes to show the size of the task in hand i suppose.

Depends on the formation you are buying for. We are fine for CB's in a back 4 but maybe 1 short in wide options.
Cm can add quality but we have improved.
Erm, We've spent £150million and We've only bought 1 world class player in, so it's no surprise some people (Including myself) are still not satisfied. Shaw, Herrera and Blind are good players but It takes delusion to call them quality without even seeing them play.
I wouldn't say "fine". Jones, Evans, Rojo and Smalling are decent options, but not ideal.
Not really confident we will secure any signing(s) on top of Blind, so my main concern is retaining Welbeck.
They are good options. Varied as well. We can improve but Don't see much better available at this time.
It's not a problem area some make out really. Jones has started this season really well and was decent amongst the shambles last one too.
With 3 at the back though situation changes defintely.
QPR are linked with moves for Sandro, Lennon and Defoe. Typical 'Arry. You can't have deadline day without seeing his face every 15 minutes and him signing some dross in the last minute.
I don't mean "quality" in the colloquial sense. I'm talking about the level of signing we've made. Herrera, Blind, Di Maria and Rojo are all tested at the highest level. Even Shaw, the wildcard of the group is one of the most promising young players out there. It's hugely different from the days of signing unknown quantities such as Diouf, Bebe and Obertan. Not every signing has to be a worldie to be a great addition.
I'm going to assume we were in for Benatia, but he would have been the ideal choice. Evans hasn't started great, while Smalling and Jones obviously need to step up, and unless one of them does (Jones looks great so far) we're in a bit of trouble. Rojo is a new signing (Well, hopefully) so could take his time. It's definitely a weak point.

If we signed another defensive minded midfielder it could be a great summer and great job by Woody if not it is only Good and decent job by Ed. But I can imagine some people would say - get the feck off Woody, you havent deliver
