We just need to do our bit, win every game, if we do that we'll get 4th. It's doable.
Not if Chelsea does the same or Wolves and they beat our goal difference.

What will Liverpool have to play for by then? Chelsea are now 5 points ahead with 8 games to play which is a very decent position to be in and they won't have the distractions of European football unlike United and Wolves. The so called more favourable games are normally the ones United will drop further points inNot so sure, if they get results against City and Liverpool then yes. Our fixture list is definitely the most favourable.
Aside from City and Liverpool, they're yet to play Leicester, Sheffield and Wolves.
First time theyve won back to back league games since October I think? Not if Chelsea does the same or Wolves and they beat our goal difference.

Why?! Because we're simply incapable of going on a sustained run. It's been the story of our season. Time and time again whenever we've had a chance to make up ground on the top 4, we've bottled it.
I have absolutely no faith in this team or manager.
City are not looking at Liverpool's results.I worry about how motivated City will be on Thurs after seeing the scousers win the league on Weds night.
You also have the small matter of a Liverpool team on the beach when Chelsea go to Anfield.
I am going to try and remain positive we can bounce back from the disappointing draw against Spurs.
Liverpool will be on their holidays by the 2nd to last game. Leicester is in the cup.
There's a chance of that happening, definitely. However, if that points record is on offer (which it most likely will be), I'm sure they'll go for it.Liverpool will be on their holidays by the 2nd to last game. Leicester is in the cup.

What distractions? European football is in August, after the domestic season is over. What will Liverpool have to play for by then? My sucked out the air Prediction:
Chelsea: Current points - 52
Man City - 0
West Ham - 3
Watford - 3
Palace - 1
Sheffield - 3
Norwich - 3
Liverpool - 0
Wolves - 1
Sub Total = 14 points (From a possible 24)
Chelsea Final points - 66
Manchester United: Current points - 46
Sheffield - 3
Brighton - 3
Bournemouth - 3
Aston Villa - 3
Southampton - 1
Palace - 3
West Ham - 3
Leicester - 1
Sub Total = 20 points (From a possible 24)
Manchester United: Final points - 66
Manchester United take 4th place by a 2 goal difference over Chelsea.
For Bonus:
Leicester City: Current points - 54
Brighton - 1
Everton - 1
Crystal Palace - 1
Arsenal - 1
Bournemouth - 3
Sheffield - 3
Spurs - 0
Manchester United - 1
Sub total points = 11 points (From a possible 24)
Leicester City: Final points - 65
Manchester United take 3rd place by a 2 goal difference over Chelsea and 1 point more than Leicester City.
A man can dream.
Banking on their small squad and lack of depth in the bench together with the thick and fast run of games, can hope they dropped points also against relegation fighting Villa, Bournemouth and drop points against Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal and Crystal Palace, draws and/or losses. We have a decent run in, but so do Wolves, my word theirs looks easy.
It's the sort of record that many thought stand for decades. A pretty special consolation prize, all things consideredI guess. They get fecked in the CL and the cup and have to focus on points record. How the mighty season has fallen.
It's the caf bro, it wouldn't be what it is if they great unwashed didn't have their customary freak out.Anyone who is freaking out hasn't paid attention to how the season has gone, and hasn't looked at fixtures. We couldn't ask for a kinder fixture list, and for once have creative midfielders to choose from. This weekend pretty much went as expected, Chelsea beating the 2nd worst side in the league and United drawing away to a traditional top 6 club. United from here on out have 2 tough games left, Palace away (Chelsea also have that), and Leicester away.
Chelsea has arguably only a couple of easy games left. Norwich at home and Watford at home, and then the next easiest would be West Ham away. They're going to do really well to get another 15 points from the remaining 8 games, while I'd be surprised if we didn't get at least 18 points from the remaining games.
So chelsea have struggled because of a lack of players but United havent despite Pogba being injured all year and only getting Bruno at the end of January, and having no depth behind Rashford or Martial?Normally if teams finish above my own I’ll give due credit. I think this time based on the 2/3rds played, it would be an absolute travesty if you guys finished above us.
I get we have been inconsistent at times and that’s a mixed of limited forwards and a lack of game management and know how. You guys on the other hand, have been quite dreadful at times and it really felt like a chore to watch. I feel like it’s more down to lack of tactics and employing someone utterly clueless and with a proven track record of failure.
So if that happened, it would be on Chelsea, not an outstanding comeback story. That thought is truly sickening
Why? People want to share their thoughts on how it will turn out. Makes no sense to deny them that opportunity.Should lock the thread really.

We basically need to win 8 on the trot. No room for error. I can't see it happening. Before the game started I think most would have expected a Chelsea win. The midweek games are the ones where we could close the gap.
City's* UEFA ban currently is for next season and the season after. Their appeal will be decided in early/mid July, where we'll find out if 5th makes CL next year or not.Whats the status of Chelsea UEFA ban? What odds it will be for next season?
Full focus on the league and not having it in the back of their minds that success in a European competition later might make up for failure to finish 4th in the league. What distractions? European football is in August, after the domestic season is over.
If only it were that easy. I genuinely feel it will be a lot tighter than you think. It's over. Deny them.
