most people have been racist or used racist comments without realy meaning them in an out and out racist way.i hate racists with a passion but im as guilty as the next person,a prime example is when people refer to travellers as gypos.i pointed this out to gb a while ago and he got all sarcastic with me,i wasn`t being funny but merely pointing out that the term gypo is offensive to travellers as the word paki is to pakistani people.im sure a lot of people would not use the term if they knew how offended travellers were by its use,also a lot of bigots would still use it as there is a lot of prejudice against travellers who are all tarred with the same brush by ignorant people who have no idea what a lot of them are really like.

im all for clamping down on racism i really am, but i think banning someone for the use of the word yardie...maybe a bit harsh. would have to see it in context mind.
