Toni Kroos

Depending on the quality of midfield and GK alternatives, I certainly would.
I simply wouldn't want us to sell De Gea, but if we were to, I hope we're looking at Sergio Rico, who's been very good for a few years now.

He's pretty good. Moyes scouted him in person to make sure and he liked what he saw.

Oh, and we won't be getting him anytime soon.

Van Gaal pulled the plug on that deal when we had a chance. It's too late now, ship long gone.

Do we know if LVG actually pulled the plug, or was that just PR because Kroos changed his mind when Madrid became involved?

Wasn't it Moyes who had the chance with Kroos, or am I completely remembering this wrong? I think I just got used to blaming everything on him.

"Toni Kroos was agreed to come in the summer," Moyes said. "I had agreed it with Toni himself and his agent."

Assuming its true-and there is a lot of evidence to support this-what kind of idiotic decision was it on LvGs part to veto this transfer? What manager would have turned down Toni Kroos at any point in the last few years? Especially considering how badly our midfield needed sorting and we ended up with the Rooney/Carrick/Fellaini midfield that bored us all to tears.

Did van Gaal manage Kroos at Bayern? Maybe they just didn't get along.

I beg to differ I think Dave for Kroos is doable, Perez has a hard on for DDG.

Oh come on.....these high profile player swaps happen only on football forums, and never, and I mean never in real life.

Won't happen. He seems happy in Madrid and Real have become more reasonable in their transfer policy in recent years so I doubt they'll get rid of an important piece in their midfield.

The worst part is that Kroos would actually suit LVG's "pass, pass, pass" football.

How the feck he thought he'd play a possession game with Fellaini and Schneiderlin in midfield is a puzzle I shall never solve.

There are a few notable exceptions. Eto'o and Ibrahimovic being the most obvious, though I do agree that it's extremely unlikely.

Everything tells us that this will never happen. But then we did think the same about Pogba as well. The Pogba deal has spoilt us for good.

It would take united offering us De Gea AND Pogba(or either guy plus stupid money. Like £50-60M) for us to even consider selling Kroos. Not gonna happen.

You're not gonna make him a better wage offer than the £324k a week he's currently on either

:lol::lol::lol:

Kross is good but come on, De Gea and Pogba are worth circa £150m to United.

Real couldn't even afford either player when both were a transfer option.

Also I don't think Real could beat the wages for Pogba and De Gea (circa £550k).

They're worth more than that to united. You guys aren't selling Pogba unless you can get Neymar or Messi in return, simple as that.
As i said, it's never gonna happen

Kroos is a phenomenal player and I would love the headlines to read "Man Utd in Kroos control as they beat Chelsea to the title". But that sounds a little too good to be true. As a United supporter, I wouldn't give De Gea up. We were struggling to get good goalkeepers until Van der Sar came along. De Gea is worth turning down a million Kroos(es). There are plenty of players who could be potential a Kroos that could be targeted and groomed. However, it depends the kind of football Mourinho wants United to play next season. It could be a destroyer in the Makelele mould or a Deep lying Playmaker in the Carrick mould. That could make a huge difference when determining if we want Kroos or say a Bakayoko.

Kroos is on 324k/week!!

Isco is the one headed for the out door and will probably come to a club in PL.

The guy made no sense - sold Kagawa, another who would have fit his possession football and signed Di Maria to try and get him to play possession football.

Talk about him joining utd if madrid fail to win silver this season.

Well if the rumour is he will join if Madrid don't win anything then its fairly unlikely that will happen then.

I really should have become a sports journalist. Who writes this shit? Kroos to leave Madrid if they don't win a trophy to join a team that most likely won't make the CL.
