Tom Thorpe

That is very sad to read. He really did deserve a shot at least.

All the best Tom. I wonder who could be the foreign clubs that are interested in him. Maybe he could go and play abroad for a season or two before returning to play for a PL club?

Probably Italian, the talent pool there is as poor as its ever been.

He'd be good in Spain. Not the tallest but very good on the ball and a classy defender. Maybe it's Moyes at Sociedad, he's a similar sort of player as Inigo Martinez.

Just signed for Rotherham. Was hoping he'd sign for a better team that would be more likely to be looking for promotion but then I guess you never know in the Championship. Hope to see him back in the PL in a few years.

I'm surprised but I guess it's more likely he will get plenty of playing time at Rotherham than he might have got elsewhere.

Yeah he'll be pretty much guaranteed a starting spot at Rotherham. Reece James and Tom Lawrence might have gave them a recommendation too based on their time there last season. Also very close to Manchester so he won't have to move.

Shame he never got a chance. He's better than McNair and he'd bring far more to this club than Blackett ever will, but hey apparently football isn't about defending well anymore.
