Thrown Away

At the end of the season the table doesn't lie. Whoever wins the title will have done so because they will have been the best team over 38 games. No ifs/buts or excuses. I really dont want the dippers to win it under any circumstances but if this year we were not good enough then lessons will have been learned and they will be applied next season and I cant see the same mistakes happening again. As for the switch in tactics to 4-4-1-1, they would have worked out ok much sooner had Giggs been played as the supporting striker, as he is now, but again the lesson has been learned and it gives us a tactical edge for next season. We can still win the Pl but I dont think we will, Arsenal have to lose it now at this stage but if/when we win the CL that, for me anyway, will be a great season. <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" />

Thats the point! Nobody but ABU's can see us being as sloppy again next season whatever the outcome this season. The merit of other teams can be simply seen by the fact that we have lost 8 matches in the PL this season - 6 before Xmas - and they have 'improved' so much they are still not certain of anything with only 3 matches left. Some improvement!
