It's been said that the methods they use are close to rel life investigation. But in the show they use time cheat; showing the results of a test instantly, when it would've taken days in real life.

They also use making shit up cheat, like enhancing security footage.

I was flipping through the channels the other day and stopped on NY for a few minutes. In the 2 minutes I watched it, one of the CSIs came back after doing another check on the victim's body and found trace on the trace. Sums up how ridiculous the show is.

Can't stand the csi series. Criminal minds is quite good though.
