Thomas Tuchel | Gone to & from Bayern (In Summer)

Crazy how quickly it’s fallen apart for him, but as others have mentioned in this thread, they didn’t look good in the run in last season either. You can win one off cup matches with a solid block formation, but you will lack creativity week in, week out in the league.

And when the defence starts to leak, it’s panic stations. He should be trying something new and not sticking to what isn’t working.

Tetchy personality too, so now it’s all going a bit wrong, expect some outbursts and more dissension.

…and the Chelsea roundabout continues to turn!

Anyone fancy him when he loses his job there?

I fancy him. I think Chelsea lost the plot cause of some player disfunction.

Kneejerkers galore

It’s not knee jerk when you are at Chelsea. He had won two of his last six before today and has fallen out with new £100 million signing. The pressure is on to win today, that’s just how it is there.

If he goes on to lose today, and loses against City, he would be in trouble. Nature of the beast at Chelsea.

It is kneejerk, he was two nil down and apparently out of a job, only to end the half level.

The pressure is on not to lose, he won't be out of a job if they do however, just under more pressure.

Fun police, if he loses he’s out and he’s ours.

It is Chelsea. He would be starring down the barrel if he loses today with City and Spurs to come.

Abramovic would have been expecting a title challenge after spending 100 million on a new forward, not a public falling out and a top 4 battle.

I would not be at all surprised if he were to lose today and lose to City that he would be gone. You can’t say it’s knee jerk when they have so much previous for this kind of thing…

Have they already sacked a manager before January who won them the CL in the prior season? CHECK

Have they sacked a club legend because he was only battling for top 4? CHECK

It’s not knee jerk in the slightest with this club. Tuchel is no different from anyone else.

13 managers since 2007. He is just another one charged with immediate and continued success. If you don’t keep it up…you’re done.

Be an insane decision to sack him, even if they only finish 4th and have an okay second half to the season. Good manager.

Despite Chelsea's trigger happy nature the only people talking about him being sacked are a few idiots on here

Will he ever recover from drawing v Carrick?

4 wins, 6 draws and 1 loss since the start of November in EPL.

We've actually become less trigger happy in more recent years. There have been lots of noises from the club about wanting someone in longer term to bring more stability. We stuck with 2nd term Jose longer than we should, Conte basically forced his sacking, Sarri quit and Lamps stayed longer than expected. As long as we don't suddenly plummet out of the CL places, Tuchel should be fine.

In all honesty, the true answer is probably neither.

No you're not. You're just not firing managers until a good one comes available. Ever since Hiddink fecked off to the Caribbean you haven't got an interim available and there's no way you're taking another risk like Rafa.

If Zidane fancies the job Tuchel would be gone before the end of the season.
