Thomas Müller

THought you wanted Pato?

Rule 240, paragraph 2 clearly says, and I quote "Picking a transfer target for muppetry is subject to change only if there has been at least one (1) full season between the last pick and the new one."

You are slacking awfully now, my dear sir.

ok then, ACM if you want to pigeon hole him, but for me he's an all rounder with huge potential for being a Scholes type midfielder

Lovely footballer, not sure he'd a player we're crying out for though

Müller, some English renderings put an 'e' in to account for the umlaut, cf Oezil - don't think it works myself.

With Oezil it makes a bit more sense since the phonetic symbol for German ö is /œ/, and it's sometimes spelt that way in French too.

Thats not in the laws of Muppetry, which abhors any such rules that rely on sensibility.

I'd hardly call Müller a CM, he's more of an off the striker man.

He's played left wing, right wing, up front and behind the striker, and he's shown tremendous discipline, awareness and intelligence. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play as a midfielder at some point to be honest, although obviously I agree it's not his best position from what we've seen so far.

If he's ever available (unlikely) and we have space for him we'd be fools for not trying to get him, IMO.

exactly Brwned, the lad is a genuine talent and could probably play anywhere across the middle or the front

Brilliant player.

Really stood out massively amongst all the players that came to the Bayern's India tour 2/3 years ago.

Has developed well although I have not seen him play for the last 6 months.

Back to this one for me!

offer them the money we were going to pay for Sneijder, they'll accept

young enough so has resale value and wages wont be as high

Great player, very talented. But surely he's not what we need? He's not a central midfielder. I've only ever seen him play as a support striker or wing-forward.

Would prefer someone like Mata to him. He's a good player but I don't think he's that great.

Theres absolutely no reason why he couldn't perform the sale role as Sneijder, he has it all and better in the air

I don't know, I don't think he could "play in a 2 man midfield" (as the saying goes). He's never played in that position before and I don't think he's ever been regarded as a central midfielder either, though I don't watch much Bundesliga football so someone who does may have a better knowledge.

I just think there are better and more suited options for us in central midfield at this time.

He's not the sort of player we should be looking at IMO.

great player, very mature and a very capable finisher. He's a manager's dream player as he is very mature tactically and works very hard for the team. We don't really need him but a front line of Rooney-Hernandez-Muller would be a fecking nightmare for defenders! not what we need ATM though IMO. Oh and he will probably stay at Bayern for the rest of his career.

I would absolutely love him to come to United but I just don't know if he is what we need right now over a more traditional cm

If he could adapt to that role like some are suggesting then I am all for it

In fact let's get Schweinsteiger while we are at it

-------Carrick-----Schweinsteiger-------
Nani---------Mueller------------Young---
----------------Rooney----------

1) He plays exactly in the same position like Rooney.
2) He wouldn`t leave Bayern Munich.

That story was already posted in the locked for the weekend Wesley thread =/
