I wonder if the fecker watched the Blackburn game... bet he didn't.

Also, I've decided... I'm going to go to Wrestlemania next year. Whose with me?!

I said straight after WM28 that I wanted to go next year too :D

I take my 12 year niece to the WWE shows everytime they come to Belfast, but flying thousands of miles across the world, I'm not sure my brother and his wife would be so keen on that one.

he looks awfully familiar, im sure ive seen his picture somewhere on redcafe.

That's because he looks incredibly generic. He looks like the base you get when ever you create a character on a video game.

I want to go to a Mania at some point in my life, and I reckon it'll be easier to do in my younger years then when I'm married and with kids. Plus, MetLife stadium is pretty much New York... which of course is great (and cheaper to fly too then most American cities).

We should get a Caf contingent together...

That's pretty much my feelings too. I went over to WM23 in Detroit, and to say it was an amazing experience is a big under-statement. If you're a WWE fan, you simply have to do it. Trust me, you won't regret it.

It's the fact that next year Brock will be there, and The Rock too. Plus Undertaker looks to have one more Mania in him. Also as you say, the fact it's basically near New York makes it better. I think there's flights that go direct from Belfast to Newark which would suit me.

Well watching wrestlemania now, don't know the results(yes I was in the cave for past few days).

Extreme Rules is shaping up quite nicely. So far, the card looks to me like it could include the following matches:

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Alberto Del Rio

Randy Orton vs. Kane

Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

Cobrasaurus vs. American Perfection

A few Wrestlemania rematches there, but that's usually been the case at Backlash/Extreme Rules. The twist of course being that now we have stipulations added to them. Orton vs. Kane is the kind of match that's going to be very entertaining with them just beating the crap out of each other with weapons, just a plain old No DQ match.

Punk vs. Jericho is a match that I would love to see be a ladder match. One of my all-time favourite WWE matches is Jericho vs. Benoit from Royal Rumble 2001 in a ladder match, and I think Punk and Jericho could put one on just as good as that.

The tag match could just a tornado tag match. Stick it in the middle of the card somewhere for your feel-good moment.

Not sure about the other matches. I don't think Cena vs. Lesnar should have a stipulation, because the fact that the match is happening is enough in itself to capture interest. One thing I think might be interesting is if you have Sheamus upset Johnny Ace over the next few weeks, so Johnny puts him against ADR and DB in a Submissions match, or a Submissions Count Anywhere. So then you've got ADR and his Cross Armbreaker and Bryan and his LeBell Lock against Sheamus and his...er...crap. That way you're putting Sheamus in the underdog position, because he can't just boot his way to a victory.

I'll stop fantasy booking now.

Lesnar won't wrestle at Extreme Rules, its a horrible business move. They'll save that for an important show. It's in Chicago so the Punk match will go on last and the crowd will add so much to it like MITB.

Yeah but it'll still do shit buys if they don't have Brocks return fight there. Summerslam and WM29 already have Rocks star power confirmed, of which Brock will also be added, and possibly more since apparently they want Batista.

Prolly get some Cena-Brock feud followed by Batista-Brock(the classic dream two dominating big men match up), then Brock winning the Rumble to face the Rock who wins the title at like the pre-WM PPV or something.

Brock vs Rock might be too insulting though, so maybe Brock vs Taker and Rock wins Rumble and Rock vs Punk/Cena II. Either way, huge buyrates and interest through the roof again. And Brock vs Rock in a classic 10 year anniversary fight at Summerslam.

heres the spoilers regarding orton and kane, they will fight on smackdown. this is from a very trusted site and has been right for the past several years in everything it has said.

Kane and orton fight in a No dq match this smackdown, orton wins. from Rajah.com and as you know smackdown is taped on a tuesday so thats how they know.

Actually probably not since like the Rock, it'll be made clear he won't be around forever this time. And the people they feud with will use that to try and get cheap pops from the ones who care about it like you seem to -_-

I'm just gonna enjoy another solid year with smaller but brilliant wrestlers getting more and more time in Bryan, Punk, Jericho and hopefully some others and some big name feuds. Best roster set up they've had in years.

Its incredible how they've changed it round so quickly. I only started watching again when the Rock came back, but from what I can gather, they were on their knees before he came back. There was Cena and Orton with the Miz looking promising. Now they've got Cena and Orton, Punk has gotten huge, Bryan has somehow gotten over with the crowd, Jericho, Ziggler and Rhodes are looking like they're gonna be big, Johnny Ace is pure gold, the Miz just needs a push, Rock and Brock are back part time. Even the midcard like Truth has improved, as well as Henry doing the monster heel thing pretty well up until recently

TNA Wrestling and MTV Networks have completed a two-year extension of their rights deal today, which will keep the "Impact Wrestling" series on Spike Television until October of 2014.

Whats peoples take on the YES! chants? Will they stay or just a fad?
They'll probably get Bryan to be a dick for the foreseeable future and phase them out. It's just because people feel sorry for him because of Wrestlemania. The hype will die down eventually. Still though, glad not to hear 'WHAT?' for a change (even though I own that t-shirt :p)

Are Taker and HHH both retired? Kinda bummed out if this is the way they go, without a retirement farewell, speech.

No, when anyone that big retires from the WWE, you'll know it. By a speech, appreciation night, "firing", whatever, they'll milk it.

Taker will fight either Brock or Cena next year or it's pointless continuing though, because really he should lose to a heel Cena, no better way to put him over as a heel than cheating to end that streak.

The streak must never end imo, under any circumstance!

Do any of you bother watching Superstars? It actually has some good matches on, like this week's Hunico vs. Tyson Kidd match. Good showcase of the undercard.

I wouldn't be against it being broken to give someone a huge push, doing it to Cena who really doesn't need pushing would annoy me a lot, he's being given more attention than the title of late, hell a title match was overshadowed by him last week!

I just think that if you've gone 20 years undefeated, even when properly integrated into storyline (e.g. Orton as Legend killer), then to drop the streak to give some a push at this late stage is a bit much. By all means use the match to showcase the talent, but Undertaker shouldn't lose. His legacy would not be remembered for the 20-odd matches he won at WM. It'd be for the 1 he lost. For someone of his calibre and dedication to the business I don't think that's fair.

tbh, Cena beating Taker in some iffy way is pretty much the only way to get him over as a proper heel, just think of it, HBK/HHH give their careers to lose to him, and beats him in some epic cheap like pinning him down with a fork lift truck like Foley/Rock which is driven by Paul Bearer. It'd be an epic heel turn.

And incredibly disrespectful to the Undertaker! Giving Daniel Bryan an 18 second match at WM is one thing. But having Cena go over Undertaker like that is just plain wrong.

Undertaker could easily go over in a classic, that's not disrespectful at all, having someone who you know will never go over kills a lot of interest. Look at how HBK buried Hogan in the video posted whenever it was, that's the risk you run if someone won't go over.

It's not Taker though tbf, he wanted to give it up vs Orton, Batista and HBK. He doesn't care, he's never been one of the guys to run backstage demanding wins and long title reigns.

But the disrespectful stuff is the kind of reaction that would make it a perfect way to turn Cena heel, turning him heel is going to be tenfold harder than it was to turn Austin heel, but in takers streak, they have a glaring opportunity.

Also, I'm fairly certain that following the F5 when Brock was stood over Cena he shouted "I'm coming for you Austin, I've waited a long arse time for this"
Definitely caught the second bit of that, not sure about the first. As I mentioned a few posts ago Lesnar vs. Austin would be the dream! They should hold it at WM XXX so that when I'm done with uni I can actually go and get tickets!

There was supposed to be a Austin-Lesnar match on the RAW, Austin walked out on.
