Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

It's the best since I started watching (in 1998).

And taking it outside of WWE is a fantastic move.

They've been talking about doing this with Twitter, especially for The Rock and Cena to keep the feud alive between Wrestlemanias, but now it seems like they fully understand how well they can use modern technology and viral marketing to boost their storyline feuds much further than a few back and forth shots on Twitter.

Well for a while they have been using twitter as an important factor in rivalry building, so this was the logical next step.

The problem is I can see this going the same way as the invasion storyline, it had all the right ingredients going well then they somehow feck it up!

Yeah if this turns into another family feud, it could backfire.

Vince has been told by doctors that he is no longer allowed to take any bumps, so there is no way he will be involved in any type of match

I reckon this could be building to a Punk vs Triple H Wrestlemania match.

Punker is back. ANd with Cult of personality as his song which is badass. Was his second (or third) ROH theme and fits him.

Rey won the title beating Miz but then lost the title to Cena in the main event. Punk confronted Cena with possibly Cena/Punk for Summerslam.

I'd have liked them to hold off on Punk's return a bit. Seemed a bit rushed.

Not that I'm going to complain too loudly about him being on my TV.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't, there. The majority of their fans aren't digging up comic con videos from the Internet, they just watch the tv shows. For those people, the sum effect of Punk continuing to be off tv will just be the angle cooling off.

Has the great Lycra Lump defeated the chiselled bolivian moron in a no holds barred ring of fire steel hammer shelf building match yet?

Well they appear to be giving Zack Ryder a push based entirely on his viral popularity, they wouldn't necessarily do it only virally, I'm not sure what they do in terms of tv appearances but what about if they were to have punk interrupt interviews on tv?

I agree. They have Summerslam coming up and need a marquee match for that. Granted they probably could have had Rey/Cena for that and then ended with Punk coming out, but thats three weeks and who knows, with no mention of Punk by then, the whole angle could have cooled off for some fans who have returned to see this.

It seems like they may want a trilogy between cena/punk (nothing to back that up) but it would be a big mistake to have Punk lose at Summerslam to Cena (should that match go ahead).

I tend to watch Smackdown only if there's nothing else on, or I record it and skip through. You can get some good matches on it, like the Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio series earlier this year, and the Christian vs. Orton matches recently.

Basically just watch Christian.

With TNA, I tend to watch the pay-per-views only. Even then, I only watch the undercard, and turn it off before the likes of Sting, Anderson, or the Hardys have a chance to ruin my fun.

Skinny Fat ass.

CM Punk is pushing boundaries. I like it.

What boundaries are they, the next stage of the edge/Jericho style persona or how well a mediocre wrestler can get by on personality.

Right...

Your opinion is now officially pointless.

Oh I'm sorry, how exactly is CM Punk the most incredible wrestler ever thats pushing boundaries. If you truly belive that then I'm afraid your viewpoints are limted by your small knowledge of wrestling and it's storylines.

The only boundaries that are being pushed are the current pg rating of the WWE.

Oh look another anti-estbalishment wrestler, that hasn't been done to death for the last 20 years.

His in ring style is a slow mo version of Kenta with only a quarter of the moves. Now don't get me wrong, I really like CM Punk and find this storylne a breath of fresh air as well as for the first time in a long while giving us a headline match that actually entertained for once, but to think of it as boundary pushing, nahhh.
