Does anybody think that 'champion of champions' comment by HHH on raw may have been a tease?

Champion of champions......king of kings......Steph randomly announcing thst HHH was the greatest champion ever when there were at least 4 ex champions in that ring that were miles better than him.

I really hope i'm reading to much into this....

Dunno, maybe. But I'm just thinking it's been a while since the title changed hands plus if you believe the dirtsheets today, WWE are annoyed with AJ after she apparently had a row with some celebrity sports broadcaster in America.

Paddy Power have taken the market down now though.

What bookies are offering that? I can't find any odds on PaddyPower for the divas match and they are offering odds on every other match. If news reports are true AJ probably will drop the title after what has gone on behind the scenes. I would have £20 on that if I could find a bookie.

Edit: PaddyPower have stopped betting on the divas match.

Oh, the good old reliable dirtsheets

The same ones that have been claiming for about four years now how CM Punk is in the doghouse, despite him having the longest title reign in recent history and being one of the most important people for the last couple of years. They're now saying the same shit about Bryan too. The reality is they haven't got a fecking clue what they're on about for the most part when it comes to stuff like that.

Obviously that all said, Natalya at 9/1 is certainly worth a flutter. There's a good chance of her winning by DQ and I wouldn't rule out her winning the title considering how well she's come off since the Total Divas show started. That said, it'd be a strange time, place and way to take the title off of AJ. I'd have her hold it until Mania where she loses it in either a well built up feud or to Paige, who should surely be the breakout female of 2014 (and not forgetting she only pinned Natalya cleanly on NXT in her title defence just the other week).

Well, the woman who was insulted has confirmed that it happened...
NBC entertainment and sports personality Michelle Beadle is lending credence to today's report concerning an incident between herself and WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee at last Wednesday's annual Tribute to the Troops event at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Pierce County, Washington.

Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer revealed this morning in a podcast on F4WOnline.com that Lee went on an obscenity-laced tirade towards the Access Hollywood co-host upon seeing her chat with CM Punk, her boyfriend, backstage at the event. Beadle didn't believe Lee was serious with her unhinged WWE character-like outburst.

In response to a fan remarking to her this morning on Twitter, "You should have slapped AJ Lee when she got in your face," Beadle wrote, "Meh. I thought it was a joke."

Responding to an upset AJ Lee fan on Twitter, Beadle remarked, "Hon...it was done in front of company people. I didn't say a word. I thought it was a joke."

Beadle's tweet gels with Meltzer's claim, as he noted on the podcast that Lee's Tribute to the Troops incident took place in front of many important people. He added that a number of WWE officials were very embarrassed and angry at Lee over the incident, mainly for "coming off like her character in real life, and not in a good way." She is expected to be disciplined for her behavior.

Lee is scheduled to defend her WWE Divas Championship tonight at WWE TLC against Natalya.
.
We'll see later if she's actually in the doghouse though, or maybe AJ just takes her "crazy chick" gimmick very seriously. As you said, 9/1 is worth a few quid anyway!

I wasn't saying it didn't happen, just that the dirtsheets talk a load of shite in thinking they know what's going on behind the scenes. They might not be happy about it but that doesn't mean she's now fecked, is going to lose the title and completely disappear or be buried.

I think leading into this it could of probably gone either way anyway when you consider the teasing they've done with her and Tamina lately. Like I said though, I still don't think this is the place to take the title off of her and still think we should see AJ/Paige next year, the characters would mesh brilliantly. I'd have a punt no doubt at 9/1 or 8/1 as I see it the other day if I had the cash to do it right now, odds like that when it comes to wrestling are madness.

I have honestly never read of Punk being the doghouse other than before MITB three years back or the same with Bryan on a reputable dirt sheet. I have read plenty of internet based speculation from Internet fanboys on Punk and Bryan venting about their positions with the company but the Internet and Wrestling are full of retards and full of the same ITK bollocks you get on the CAF with transfer rumours. However, the sheets run by Dave Metzler and Wade Keller are quite often right. I daresay they get it wrong as well but they both seem to be respected by people involved in wrestling.

Austin's interviewed both on his podcast and has admitted to phoning both up to both give them information and to hear what has been said about when he was at his peak. That's coming from one of the top three biggest stars in wrestling ever. Bret Hart has also admitted to giving Meltzer a lot of inside information on Montreal and says his account of events is pretty close to 100%. The rest I would agree are just full of shit.

BTW - You can't bet on Natalya winning the divas title match as betting has been suspended on the event on PaddyPower or Skybet all night. I can't find another bookies running odds for the match.

I've been talking about that for half the page!

The major story making rounds prior to WWE TLC is an incident between WWE Divas ChampionAJ Lee and Michelle Beadle backstage at Wednesday’s Tribute to the Troops taping. The entire thing was due to misinformation and miscommunication and exacerbating it is careless reporting. I posted the full details at this link but I’ll give you the cliff notes if you aren’t a WNW Premium Member. AJ Lee was told by a WWE producer they were filming a backstage segment for the WWE App (or on dot com) with her and Beadle. When AJ Lee went to rehearse the segment, Beadle acted like she didn’t know what AJ was talking about. WWE officials were also surprised and Lee was pulled aside and berated. AJ tried to explain and was under the impression the segment had been cleared with Beadle and by production. CM Punk, who is AJ’s real-life boyfriend, stepped in and was enraged, believing AJ Lee was setup. You can get all the exclusive notes at this link.

On a side note, I don't understand the logic in how the WWE championship is above the world champion. If you're the world champion, you're champion of the world.

I can't see this being a title switch, they keep stressing one man, two men will walk in but one man will walk out etc.

WWE is bigger than the world?

OK, it was great anyway, but it would have been greater as a ladder match.

Another awful PPV.

I really expected better. Wait, no I didn't, considering how poor the second half of the year has been for the WWE.

What actually ended up happening in the end?

Orton wonagainst Cena clean. Orton handcuffed Cena, who managed to climb the ladder despite this disadvantage. Orton pushed Cena - head first - against a table. Orton climbed the ladder and won. I think many fans were expecting something better. I don't expect technical skill in this sort of match, but the PPV needed a very strong finish, which it didn't get.

So after all that, no interference or funny business at all

So does that mean the titles are now unified?
