Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Is there anybody who isn't related to the Rock these days?

Most (if not all) Samoan wrestlers are all from one family.

Mark Henry has signed a new three year contract with WWE.

Big Henry fan personally. His face turn could work if he continues with his current ass kicking persona. Knowing the WWE they will make a balls of it though.

He is getting huge crowd reaction at the moment as a heel. He got an even bigger reaction when he tried to fight back against the Shield. I hope it works.

I was hoping he'd beat Cena for the title. Henry v Bryan matches would be class. Bryan is tremendous at getting good matches against much bigger wrestlers.

"That's what I do" has to be my favourite catchphrase in a long time.

And factions, factions everywhere, factions inside factions while old factions return.

How have they not folded yet? Carters are going to be bankrupt if this keeps going, surely?

Started watching Indie wrestling videos, slowly lapsed into Daniel Bryan videos, now thinking about how important AJ and D-Bry were for each other.

TNA are good for a laugh, but when I look at the talent that they have on their roster, or that they have had, I can't help but get frustrated at them for fecking everything up.

I stopped watching TNA ages ago, is AJ Styles still big in it? I remember thinking he'd be great in WWE.

He's a big part of their current storyline. You've got Aces & 8's (featuring Bully Ray being wonderful plus other guys) going up against the Main Event Mafia (Sting, Angle, Joe and Magnus), and AJ is the kind of in-between guy, refusing to align himself with anyone because he's MOODY and also EDGY.

He's even taken to wearing leather jackets, and he's grown his hair out into a very threatening bowl cut just so we know how EDGY he is.

Edit: I did actually watch Impact last week on Challenge. Not awful, but I can't bring myself to care about anything that happens there.

basically, I just can't get on board with TNA, as much as i love to watch wrestling. Vince Russo's booking is just awful. he forgets what he has booked, he gets bored writing storylines, he is dangerous without a Vince Mcmahon idiot filter and at some point in his tiny imagination every feud must have a 'something on a pole' match, a ladder match and some new overly complicated stip match that adds nothing to the storyline.

I had to google that.

Like Messi going through a Black Sabbath period.

I had not followed TNA much, other than knowing the Ace's 8's angle but TNA seem to be turning AJ styles into Crow Sting. Is it just me or do they constantly recycle 90's wrestling angles because it sure as hell looks like it.

Just watched the opening segment on Raw. A boring segment considering it was the contract signing for Cena vs Bryan as Maddox totally dominated it and Cena was whiter than white face but booking Bryan in a series of matches tonight is good booking for him provided he wins them. They have not done a run the gauntlet series of matches since the attitude era and it's a good way of making someone credible.

I don't watch TNA but even I know Russo no longer works for them. I think Hogan and Bischoff are running the show at the moment.

She apologised on twitter

I apologize 4 my wardrobe malfunction I’m embarrassed & it looks as though the humidity made my tape come off You’ll never see that again! B

No need to apologise Brie. We all loved it

Bryan vs. Cessaro was bloody fantastic, one of the best of the year so far. That match, along with a patented RVD potato made this RAW one of the stiffest for quite some time... and that's not even including the nipple slip.

Thought Exactly the same thing.

Didn't they have Hulk Hogan as their main booker once or am I imagining things?

.

They seem to re-cycle the NWO angle every couple of years. This As and 8's being the most recent demonstration of that. This time they actually have almost a clone of crow sting with AJ Styles.

Edit: Just checked. Hogan is apparently just on an on air GM now on TNA so no idea who is running the booking or creative. How much influence he has on the product I have no idea. Googling Hogan and TNA leads to loads of Hogan is not in charge statements from their owner so it sounds like he's still a influential figure behind the scenes.

BTW - This build up to Summerslam is probably the best WWE have managed for a none wrestlemania PPV since I started watching again in 2011. Punk vs Lesnar & Bryan vs Cena with Orton with the MITB cash in, the Usos Henry vs Shield, Rhodes vs Sandow with the Wyatts being introduced and this Mcmahon vs Mcmahon angle in the background has been progressively built up since Payback and it's leading to much better Raws and Smackdowns. They seem to be moving away from Ziggler vs Del Rio for a blow off match at Summerslam which leaves no real angle for the WHC but other than that they have done quite well

This D-Bry-Cena love in reminds me of Ryder and Cena a while back. Fully expecting the match with Kane next week to end with Bryan in a wheelchair getting pushed off the stage

I really hope they don't go down the route of them both "respecting" each other. Face-face rivalries are dull.

I think Bischoff was in charge of all that whilst he was in TNA (him and Hogan joined near the same time, IIRC).

Bruce Prichard was the Head of Creative, but they've very recently fired him. No idea who's replaced him.

Cesaro is class, and he will always have good matches with great workers like Bryan. Bryan can make most wrestlers look good.

The difference between Bryan's matches with Cesaro and Ryback were unbelievable. Nobody can make Ryback look good.

yea, so I see.

my point remains the same about Russo though, TNA was a no go to me because i thought he was still writing it. I still won't watch it though because i fear Hogan is getting air time.

Did Prichard ever do anything of value, or just faff about in "huge feckin' cuffs"?

Kinda makes you appreciate Cena a little, least he can show up sometimes.
That uppercut spot between Bryan and Cesaro looked vicious.
Freaking brilliant moment, they don't feck about.
