Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Maybe they're going with the angle that when he does cash it in, it will be a complete surprise. Haven't been a fan of ADR for a while but I don't mind him in a face role so far.
Ziggler cashing in seems much more likely now that ADR has the title
The RR looks star-studded; already there's Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Ziggler, Team Hell No. How great would it be if Ziggles cashed in the MITB then went on to win the RR and become the Undisputed champ?

Oh and WWE being the clowns that they are have already spoiled the above on the home page.

Haven't watched wrestling in a good 7 or 8 years, so I ask this genuine question, how in gods name aren't the masses bored of the likes of Kane and the Big Show yet?

Kane is hilarious in his current role, or at least was but I think it's worn thin. While he has reverted to his 'big red monster' gimmick every so often, he's managed to do some pretty entertaining stuff in between. Big Show, believe it or not, actually had a very good run of matches with Sheamus quite recently (was Sheamus even around 7 or 8 years ago?). Either way, they're both helping some of the newer talent rise in the ranks too.

WWE have apparently signed El Generico. This could be very good news because he is one of the best pro wrestlers today.

However, this is WWE, so he's probably doomed.

Check this match out. Probably the best match of last year (closely followed by one of the other matches these two had against each other).

They've spent a lot of the year making him look like a bit of an idiot, and he's surely lost far more matches then he's won. For him to even get a win over Cena he's had to lose cleanly about 5 times to him. He's had the briefcase for months now and he's still not taken seriously enough to be a Champion I don't think. When he wins it, I don't think anyone will believe him holding onto it for any decent length of time. It's a shame, as he's clearly a talented performer, they've just not built him up at all well.

That's why I was saying I don't think they wanted him to get a rub off Big Show or Sheamus by taking the title off either of them...

He was booked well end of the year. Sole survivor over Orton and then a PPV win over Cena and creating a stable for him with Big E and AJ. Regular tv wins over lesser talent(Miz, etc). He also beat Jericho and winning the MITB is a big deal. He's also been distanced from Guerrero and does his own promos now to generate heat and he's one of the biggest performers in terms of exposure and time. That's a pretty solid push in the last half of the year and he's over.

If he can go over Cena, Jericho and Orton, he's getting a stronger push than most of the others.

Short of giving him the strap, I don't know what else they could have done for him. Losing a tv match to Cena in a close run thing is not going to hold back his momemtum. He's been the most prominent heel on either brand other than Punk for the last three months.

El Generico in WWE? Yes fecking please! I hope they actually give him a decent role.

This is my worry, he doesn't have that typical "WWE guy" look to him, so there's a danger they'll give him a comedy gimmick. I know he kind of has a comedy gimmick right now, but it's one that also allows him to be taken seriously as an actual in-ring guy.

Hopefully this ends up being another Bryan/Cesaro/Punk scenario where a great indy guy continues being great in WWE, and not another Colt Cabana.

I'm gonna go with Ole here. He's been pushed very well. You can't look too much into how a match was won. How often do heels regularly win cleanly, not just now but ever?
Also if you look here http://www.profightdb.com/wrestlers/dolph-ziggler-450.html?year=2012&res=100 he only actually lost to Cena twice but I guess when it comes to Cena there's a tendancy to exaggerate :smirk:. Those were both TV matches too. Since Summerslam he's had wins over Orton, Bryan, Cena, The Miz and Jericho. But anyway yeah, he gets a lot of promo time, he's won big PPV matches, Vickie's gone.

Eh?... All that link shows is that he's lost to either Cena or teams involving Cena 6 times since the end of November? Twice one on one, but tag matches do still count... So if anything, I under played it!

Also, his name appears on the right hand side far more often then it does on the left hand side. If you're trying to push someone as a main event guy, then surely you'd think he wins at least as much as he loses. Ole's right, in that his end of year has been much, much stronger then earlier in the year (though how could it not be?!) but for me, I'd have had him booked fairly strongly ever since he won the briefcase, but hey, that's just me.

Also, come on, wins over The Miz and Bryan hardly count for anything! Bryan very rarely wins single matches anymore, and The Miz... well, the Miz is the Miz...

You didnt under play it. Tag matches shouldn't really come into the equation especially when the two Cena team victories were via DQ. And the one that wasn't was a dark match.
Even when Ziggler has lost single matches they have tended to be dq or countout, it's rare that he gets pinned cleanly. He's a sneaky heel character he won't be booked to go out and win cleanly every week. A few dq and countout defeats won't do any harm.
Who else is he supposed to be beating if it isn't guys like Bryan and the Miz? He's not going to get clean victories over Ryback, Cena or Punk. He's still being built up.

Those fake cheers and boos on smackdown really put me off watching it. It's literally every 5 seconds. So annoying

Also a shame to see Ryder has been told to stop his internet show. Seems they don't want him propelling himself.
They snubbed him on the 'did you know' thing, putting the miz on it instead of him on the 'most twitter followers'

Not that it makes a difference, Ryder isn't actually that good. It's awful business their part though, they could easily make a fair bit of money off him.

Meh, I'm not a wrestling snob. I'm not that bothered about how good he is, he's entertaining and it's about entertainment.

Speaking of which, I hope WWE make The Shield entertaining soon. They had a fantastic match at TLC, which made me want to see more of them, now I'm bored of seeing them run to the ring to beat people up 3 on 1 for seemingly no reason.

20th Anniversary Raw tonight. I look forward to these special editions less and less by the way previous shows have gone. The only way tonight will be good is if Stone Cold comes back and stunners the crap out of at least 3 people. Maybe even 3MB? I bet Heath Slater would really sell it.

Major rumble spoiler

Wwe have already been sending royal rumble promotional stuff to be made into a dvd, according to wrestlezone they've slipped up by including that wrestlemania will be rock vs cena for Wwe championship

I think it's obviously been the plan since the rumble match was confirmed.

However, there could be a late swerve and some changes made.

The Rock will win the match in Royal Rumble by DQ because a Heyman Guy will get involved. He will then win the belt in an episode of Raw or at the Elimination Chamber. Cena will win the Rumble and face the Rock at Wrestlemania. Cena will them then win the Belt at Wrestlemania. Oh and CM Punk will face Taker at Wrestlemania. Vince counts the cash.

Been thinking Punk might be included in Cena/Rock match as a triple threat. Cena vs Rock again would be abit boring, their hardly great workers(Rock used to be good).

There's more money in a Lesnar/Taker match after their history with Lesnar in UFC and an obvious angle to work. Also makes sense to have two part-timers in an angle.

PAC made his NXT debut and Ryder released a song.

Some excellent guitar in Eugene's old theme. No, I'm not joking, at a certain point in the song the guy clearly thinks to himself "nobody's going to listen this far, solo!"

Big E is winning me over with his twitter account. Choc Lesnar, or Soulberg are his preferred nicknames, he doesn't like Ryblack, too un-original.

After this exchange between him and AJ, I had to follow him.

Once you start antiquing, you cannot stop antiquing. In other news, I am certainly going to die alone.

Big E Langston ‏@BigELangston
@WWEAJLee Don't worry, Miss AJ. I plan on awkwardly lurking in the background for years to come. #LifeInTheFriendZone

Big E Langston ‏@BigELangston
"@WWEAJLee: @BigELangston You're like a sister to me." Does that mean we have to pillow fight and share undergarments?

A.J.‏@WWEAJLee
@BigELangston For the last time, I don't share my underwear, so please stop trying to steal it out of my luggage.

Same time I started following so.
