Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Them being sold makes a lot of sense. Because this is the strongest theyve been financially.

I really really cant see what would motivate Adam Cole to renew, unless his contract states he will be main eventing next years wrestlemania. And we know that wont happen.

Next: WWE release an actual current champion, and have to ask for the belt back.

WWE are going to completely change and revamp NXT using mostly younger people going forward.

It is why they cut 12 yesterday.

The brand is going to have a whole different feel and product going forwards.

They changed and ruined nxt when aew started
Oh well

Waiting for wwe to release triple H so that he can say he's all in

Any of you guys follow wrestling toys and collectibles?

WWE are doing a crowdfunding thing for a New Generation playset and figures:

The Macho Man figure alone looks like it could end-up being worth more than the full cost of the package on eBay if it gets made - the production run is going to be very limited, and his figures always seem to increase massively in value. This one will be designed after his last ever WWF match at WrestleMania 10.

The full package has:

-The Macho Man figure
-Diesel figure
-Doink figure (if they get more than 7,000 backers)
-Full scale ring
-Ring steps
-Commentators table and accessories
-The neon light entrance arch from WrestleMania 8 (though the logo is fecked due to the name change)

Costs $250 - about £190 delivered here before customs. They're about half-way towards being backed with two weeks left to run, though the Macho Man figure is part of a promotion until the 13th I think.

Might be worth grabbing a set or two if you can, and re-sell the individual pieces in a couple of years, if any of you guys are into that sort of thing.

Could be a good investment.

Um... Why are WWE crowd funding something?

They can easily just make it

I've seen a couple of interviews with the guy behind this: he says that after the death of Toys R Us then there aren't the retailers willing to give the space to stock these type of things. Sounds like there are zero dedicated toy stores left in the US now so they're left with Walmart and Target stores that do stock toys but clearly that's a tiny portion of their stores.

This way they are cutting-out the retailers and going straight to the collectors, which is why they can include more stuff in the price than they would be able to at retail since the retailer would obviously take a cut.

Collectors stuff on eBay of all sort of brands and sports (cards especially apparently) have been going crazy during lockdown, so seems like there will be some money to be made from selling-off this package in a couple of years if it gets made.

A San Diego Comic Con Macho Man from 2019 was available at that show for $20, now sells for well over £100. If this Macho gets made in his last WWF match gear and around ~5,000 pieces exist only, then that could be an interesting investment on its own, never mind the rest of the stuff like the Diesel figure.

Wasn't it only a couple days ago I mentioned Doink

I think having Diesel and Doink are poor choices.

Should be Bret and Shawn Exclusives TBH

Also, Hasbro offer UK pricing where you don't end up paying crazy shipping costs.

Hasbro been doing for a while now with Star Wars

Doink seems a very random choice to me, but apparently they need the extra budget to get his jacket done right.

I agree Bret and Shawn were the guys to have here, but the addition of this Macho Man figure is huge given the price his figures go for once they're out of stores.

The barge thing they did a few years ago now sells for like four times the price second-hand, but the Star Wars fanbase is probably way crazier than wrestling fans are.

I'd have loved a set like this as a kid in the New Generation (and my dad's reaction to me asking him to spend £190 on a playset would be a memory worth having now ), but the toys back then were way different - mine were shorter with actual action mechanisms, absolutely loved playing with those as a brat.

Missed this before - international shipping is surprising cheap on this; $15 for the full package delivered to the UK, $20 for two sets. They didn’t charge me VAT on check-out either so might have some customs charges to add when it’s delivered next summer, but a lot of things have passed through customs unchecked following Brexit.

Fingers crossed they have some way to skip the costs by shipping other stocks and the price reflects that.

Raw is so crap!

I watched first 30 mind last night.

Orton started as predicted and played the heel for 20 seconds, before becoming face again when AJ showed up, obviously leading up to a tag match at Summerslam.

Corbin thing is just stupid.

Alexa wrestles some fat chick who is scared of her doll and Alexa wins by the doll winking at the fat chick and some how Alexa rolls her up (god knows how without a crane) and holds her down for 3.

Absolutely awful.

Did Kross appear? Did he wrestle? Did he win or lose?

I mean it doesnt matter, since they arent continuing the unstoppable beast, and they also arent doing a losing streak that is occurring because hes without Scarlett.

Apparently he beat Jeff Hardy and layed him out after the match too. So yeah no losing streak

So basically hes beaten hardy and keith once.... and lost to them once.
50/50

So Hardy, Keith Lee and Kross are just sharing victories and are all on the same level. Great.

Honestly, Vince just needs to go.

Also having RAW for 3 hours just sucks.

I mean, if its 3 hours, than at least ensure one of the matches goes 30 minutes each week which eliminates a lot of crap. Have an occasional 1 hour match even.

Make it different every now and then, but again only works if people have a reason to actually care or want to see it.

I haven’t watched wrestling since about 2006 but I have the WWE network to watch the old stuff. Been slowly making my war through the glory days for while now. Started in January 1997 (in January 2017), in July 1999 now. Watched the Owen tribute last month, was rough. Shocking they went on with that PPV.

Yeah, I'm thinking of signing up to network again (UK) and just watching all the old stuff from Mania 1 upwards in order Inc the TV shows.

So much better.

I found some guy's website and he's made a bit of software that can scrape the network and download it. Had to pay for it on top of the sub, but it wasn't much, and downloaded everything WWE, WCW and ECW from the first episode of Nitro to about 2010.

You watching anything non WWF related? So just Raws and PPVs?
Or WCW stuff too since you started in 97

i did the same except i started in January 1998 and got to 2003 in a few months :lol:It was a wild ride. Quality took a huge dip around the invasion imo and never really returned although i did love 2002 because of how immensely stacked the roster was at that time and the emergence of Brock.

In a few months!? Damn! It’s taken me nearly 5 years to go from Jan 97 to July 99.

one thing that really stands out to me is just how weak The Rock was booked. He gets laid out on every show. Triple H is starting to enter God mode with the booking.

Yeah i was pretty much watching 2 raws or a raw + smackdown every night. I didn't watch Heat though.

I never noticed that about The Rock tbh! I guess his promos were so over it didn't matter haha. I hate how they booked Kane after 98. From looking an unstoppable monster to teaming with Xpac and dating Tori

I could probably clear a lot of WWF at the moment.

I'm literally binge watching a lot right now.

I did House 1-8 in about 9 days and before that cleared baywatch 1-10 in about 4 weeks spread out with Quantico 1&2 in like 4 days.

No sleep for me

Another fun dynamite
Good workaround regarding dark order not getting a tag title shot

Dante Martin looked like a star coming out of that trios match

Looking forward to rampage and of course the Chicago shows

Punk otherday said in interview that he won't be in Chicago :lol::lol:

The scenes if punk doesn't come out in Chicago. Tonys done it again.

He'll be there. They wouldn't do all the teasing otherwise.
I can honestly see them doing just that, I wouldn't be particularly shocked

I think he's gonna be there, and I'm going to begrudgingly stay up late to watch it knowing I'm in work at 9 tomorrow. He fecking better be there!

Surprised that nobody seems to think Punk will show up tonight. I’m guessing we get Omega vs Punk at All Out, as Christian will be taken out after the Impact title match tonight. Can’t see them doing that match on TV before having it as a PPV main event. That would be very un-AEW. Guess it works either way for Punk’s first appearance.

Smackdown

14 minutes to get Cena & Regins in the ring followed by 12 mins trash talking.

First 30 minutes of 2 hour show done, yet still seems much better paced than a 3 hour Raw.
