Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Yes but now they the bullet club and The Elite aren’t allowed to use it and made a big song and dance about how the WWE had stolen yet another thing from them. It’s like your dancing in circles right now bringing up things that have no relevance to what you were initially saying.
Right now Balor, Anderson and co are wearing OGBC T-shirt’s and use too sweet as WWE now own the rights to that.
Did I just also see you say The Bullet Club wasn’t that popular before The Elite? And Balor wasn’t a main eventer?
They Cody, The Elite all prospered off the back of these disputes with WWE, showing up outside WWE events and making videos. They marketed themselves very well and used WWE to take them to a new level. So he has used his association with WWE and his name to his advantage to take them to another level.

It will be great to have another show hopefully more adult themed and not as restricted by health and safety but if Cody and co are producers they need to create new stories, catchy phrases and so on for it to be successful not just for them but for others and that will be the challenge or will they just keep using WWE.
They've piggybacked of WWE (sometimes using previous WWE tactics) and off the bullet clubs success. You'd be naive to think they didn't cus that's clear as daylight.

I agree, originality is needed if it's going to be a success.

I don't watch raw or smackdown live, but i still view it. There's a lot of factors you need to take into account before making statements like there's a lot of former wrestling fans then wrestling fans. The main one being accessibility in content now, and back in 99 is a lot different.

Those views are counted in the viewer numbers.

Yep, and he's still just a superfan essentially. He gets bits of information, that may or may not come to fruition. Nothing more nothing less.

He gets told what people know and what they think they know. He's rarely talking to Vince himself so he's not going to get everything right. Nobody does.

That said, during the Steroid scandal in the 90s Meltzer did talk regularly with Vince McMahon. So he has been pretty close with WWE at times.

Bullet club wasn't that popular? Syles wasnt doing anything as big as omega? So winnng the heavyweight title wasn't big then? Or was it not big because that fits your narrative? Hell Balor was challenging for the damn thing. Youre literally just making things up now.

You're a massive elite fanboy aren't you?

Coming from a WWE mark? I've watched wrestling from all over the world for most of my life. They arent my favourite.

New Japan were coming off a really rough time in their history. It wasnt that big and neither were their gates and viewership. It was the equivalent of winning the championship, while Omega broke Okada's (longest ever NJPW champion) streak is winning the premier league. Same again with main eventing at the Tokyo Dome, something AJ Styles never did. WK is their wrestlemania.

Balor was a multi time Intercontinental champion. If he stayed he may have done what AJ did, which is win the title. But he wasnt going to be main eventing the biggest show of the year.

Those views are not counted in the numbers at all pal, it's viewers on cable and satellite.

So he's a superfan that gets bits of information that may or may not come into fruition, is what you're saying?

Pal, we've all watched wrestling from around the world. We don't strictly only watch WWE because why would you do that? To come out with statements like bullet club wasn't popular before the elite is absolutely bizzare and mental, surely you can see that?

If anyones on the fence about watching that Nigel McGuinness documentary, watch it.

Thought UK Takeover Blackpool was very good, all the matches were good. And thats some fall Joe Coffey took off the turnbuckle to the floor.

They are counted, WOR has to answer this question all the time because people peddle the myth you just used. The only thing it doesnt count is piracy

I dont remember seeing Bullet Club shirts filling WWE arenas and selling out at Hot Topic before The Elite. I dont remember seeing a Bullet Club member main eventing Wrestle Kingdom until Omega. Its pretty obvious that they were nowhere near as popular with fans and with management until the more recent post AJ styles era.

So accessibility is different compared to the 90s, and a lot views aren't even recorded because of this? Like i already said you decided to argue against? Going swings and round abouts here

Sorry but you're just wrong. The elite have piggybacked off WWE and bullet club to build their popularity, even the biggest elite fanboy can see that? If you were a wrestling fan, you knew bullet club and they were already popular, there's no denying or debating that.

Just watched the Andre the Giant documentary on sky. It’s very good.

Went on to get WWE network free trial to check out a few other documentaries but they don’t have any. Watched the NWO era instead.

Any documentaries anyone recommends?

DVR, youtube, etc is recorded so regardless of how many homes have the tv channel, the numbers in modern formats are still represented. Piracy is not recorded because obviously nobody knows how many people are doing that.

Bullet Club werent main eventing the biggest show. They werent big merchandise sellers. So they werent what they have been for the past few years. And even in that time they've been second to los ingobernables de japon at least domestically when it comes to merch. Before that they were nowhere even close. They had AJ towards the main event picture and thats it.

If anyones on the fence about watching that Nigel McGuinness documentary, watch it.

Felt so bad for the guy. I remember hearing he got signed all those years ago and being so excited for it only for it to fall through. Nice to see it has worked out in the end and hes in a much better place. I remember seeing him on the Kevin Steen show and he looked so rough and was so down about his career.

So accessi.....it's not even worth it, it's like talking a brick wall, you'll say anything that'll suit your narrative and ignore the rest.

The Nigel McGuiness one is good. The Hardy's one is pretty good too, talks about their drug addictions etc.

The shit he went ththrou is enough to end a man. Fair enough to him to keep going and find peace and happiness.

I'll say the truth, you might like it but thats how it is.

There are more former wrestling fans than there are wrestling fans.

What truth? You've just admitted you cant trace viewers who pirate, after initially stating all views are counted in the viewers numbers, which they're obviously not. That was point that you decided to argue. You've now essentially realised I'm right and still trying to argue. At this point I can't work out if you're on a wum or just have hard time accepting when you're wrong.

Nobody can ever count piracy in anything, that doesnt stop movies or music having charts. Thats so ridiculous.

"No that isnt the most popular movie of the year, because we didnt count how many pirate copies there were". Classic.

Look its okay, you dont have a clue what you're talking about and sound more stupid each time you type. You can get over it now.

I’d say it’s the 2nd one having experienced this situation more than once on this forum. Anyway who cares, another promotion great hopefully they do a good job, tell great stories and put on great shows. I have enough space to watch more than 1 brand of wrestling. If Khan had bought Wembley do you think they’d do a wrestle mania like show there and would it get the numbers.

You realise charts are done on who buys the product right? Hence why they're charts and not ratings, as you'd expect with cable TV.

So you do just have hard to accepting when youre wrong. No biggie, your wrong and have been wrong on pretty much every point you've made. Your only opinion is what Meltzer told you to believe and you should probably try to look at things without being so easily influenced.

No shit, and they get pirated far more than a WWE wrestling show. So no there arent 2.5 million people watching pirate copies of WWE shows unless you can actually back that up. But since you havent yet posted any numbers, research or any kind of educated opinion at any point and instead are just continually posting 10 seconds worth of typing nonsense I'm not going to hold my breath for you to show that half the viewership from the Attitude era is still watching right now, but pirating the product.

Meltzer isnt actually the one who said it. Another swing and a miss, unless you consider hitting yourself a hit.

It have to be a big show, I think it's doable to an extent. The UK has been deprived of a major PPV for years now, but perhaps Wembley stadium is a touch too big as of now. Build the brand up then see.

WWE need to pull their finger out and do a sumerslam in the UK again though.

 you getting a bit angry there pal? Embarrassing.

Listen, all I've stated is that it's pure speculation there's less fans than in the 90s if you're basing it viewership. Viewership might be down, but funnily PPV buyership for ppvs were roughly the same if not significantly higher come 2013 (before ppvs became network exclusives). Again not accounting for people who view it through different means.

Surely you'd expect the opposite if, as you say, there are less wrestling fans than during the attitude era?

Talking about your general opinions here pal, you quite clearly a meltzer/elite fanboy. It's not healthy.

I think Beyond the Mat might be on Netflix. I've seen it somewhere recently and think it was on there.

There are a tone of documentaries on there, just a case of knowing where to look. There is the WWE 24 series which is pretty interesting, all the monday night wars documentaries as well as breaking ground which goes behind the scenes at NXT.

Figures it out. Just watched Sean vs Brett. Good watch.

Best moment though, “don’t think Natalia got all of that” sorry Grieves you mean any of that, she missed by an absolute mile, Jose could have parked a bus in between the space and man I really can’t stand Ronda now, she’s replaced Roman in that little space where I know they are good workers but damn are they boring.

Alexa Bliss is just:drool: those shorts were at capacity.

There’s literally tons. 1 thing WWE has been class at is putting together documentaries. Although anything Monday Night War related you might want to stay away from as its biased and history being rewritten by the winners.

Some essentials:

Rise and fall if ECW
triumph and tragedy of World Class
Macho Man Story
Jake the snake: pick your poison
CM Punk: best in the world
History of WWE
All of the Legends of Wrestling Roundtables.

Women's tag belts looks sweet. Suppose Sasha and Bayley win them but I hope not. Give it to the IIconics or let the Riot Squad do a New Day with them.

So they're finally pushing Finn. If Brock plays ball, it could be a great match like with AJ and Bryan.

I'd drink Alexa's bath water.

So how does Finn go down? Royal Rumble match ruined by Brawn interference, then a triple threat at Mania?

As long as Brock doesn't leave as Champion I think it's a hit.

I think it'll be a clean win for Brock but Finn will go very close. They always try to keep Finn looking strong without actually having him win a whole lot.

Finn had a fantastic showing on Raw. Winning two matches, and the main event win was a great boost and endorsement as well. Getting to promo against Vince as well.

The Rumble match will be quite something. But I hope its not 4 minutes of him eating suplexes, then him getting some offence, before losing to a f5. Weve seen that with AJ and Bryan already.
TBH he should be coming out as the Demon, but what would be worse is him losing as Demon to Brock.

Monday night glass been pretty good tonight tbh.
haha

haha

Brock likes Finn apparently, so should be a good match, Brock will sell. Finn will lose though, maybe a rematch with the demon king at wrestlemania?

Probably more likely is demon king will beat lashley at wrestlemania for the intercontinental championship, and Seth will slay Brock.

I wonder if Braun has another injury or the elbow just isn’t right yet or will we end up with a triple threat or him just costing Brock setting up a WM match. I’d quite like to see Balor vs Brock and a clean win for Balor as just the sort of no one saw that coming thing but like others have said he’ll probably get thrown around take a hell of a beating and just keep coming until the 2nd F-5 or Brock has enough snaps gets DQ’d but mangels Finn in the process keeping Finn looking strong.

Bigger concern is how are they going to bring about The Man vs Ronnie for Mania. Doesn’t seem like at this point either win the rumble unless early match and one loses then entering and winning.
Becky loses to Askua, costs Rousey her title setting up a non title at Mania. However right now it looks to me like Charlotte wins the Rumble challenges Rousey and The Man misses out.

What she should do is go to Raw after the Rumble beat the crap out of Nia and challenge Rousey if the RR winner chooses Askua.

Cant see how tonights smackdown will top last nights Raw. Shit was lit.

You’ve got a twin brother and you’re given a key by Mandy Rose to her hotel room, you are married and faithful and you’re wondering what to do. You give that key to your bro and let him shoot his shot, if he fails then at least he tried.
