Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Can't say I'm shocked. Anyone mind giving a quick summary.
  • Didn't watch the pre-show but Nakamura beat Rusev to retain the US Title. A low blow was involved.
  • Main show starts with Hulk Hogan coming out to Real American, spouting some bollocks about Hulkamania, then leaving.
  • Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton in the first round of the WWE World Cup. Mysterio wins by roll-up, Orton batters him after the match.
  • The Miz beats Jeff Hardy in the next first round match, setting up Miz vs Mysterio in the first semi-final.
  • Seth Rollins beats Bobby Lashley in the next first round match. Lashley was on top for most of it but fell to a curb stomp.
  • Dolph Ziggler beats Kurt Angle in the final first round match, setting up Rollins vs Ziggler in the other semi-final.
  • New Day made their entrance on a magic carpet, but lost to The Bar after Big Show interference.
  • Miz got kicked in the throat by Hardy and cut a promo sounding odd.
  • A beat up Mysterio loses to Miz after Miz got his knees up to counter a splash from Mysterio, sending Miz into the final.
  • Ziggler wins the other semi-final, beating Rollins after interference from McIntyre. The Miz vs Ziggler to determine the best in the world.
  • Styles beat Joe.
  • Corbin bashes Strowman over the head with the Universal Title then signals for the bell to start the match. Lesnar hit Strowman with an F-5 and went for the pin, but Strowman kicked out at 2. Lesnar then hit Strowman with another F-5 and went for the pin, but Strowman again kicked out at 2. Lesnar hits Strowman with a third F-5 and goes for another pin, but Strowman once again kicks out at 2. Lesnar hits Strowman with a fourth F-5, but this time it's from Lesnar's shoulders in the ring, to the arena floor outside. Lesnar waits for Strowman to be counted out, but he gets back in the ring at 9. Lesnar goes for a fifth F-5, Strowman escapes and makes it the corner. Lesnar charges him, and Strowman gets a foot up to kick him in the face. Strowman goes for Lesnar, but gets picked up and hit with a fifth F-5 and this time is covered for 3. Lesnar is Universal Champion.
  • Shane McMahon joins Baron Corbin at ringside by the WWE World Cup trophy. Drew McIntyre is sent to the back by the referee to make it a fair 1v1 between Ziggler and Miz.
  • Miz attacks Ziggler before the bell, eventually sending him to the arena floor. Miz hops off the apron and appears to hurt his ankle. Still with a weird voice, Miz tells the official he's fine to continue, but he is sent to the back for medical attention. The announcer begins to declare Ziggler the winner by forfeit, but McMahon interrupts.
  • McMahon replaces Miz and beats Ziggler with a coast to coast. Shane McMahon wins the WWE World Cup and is declared the Best in the World.
  • DX vs Brothers of Destruction sees Triple H tear a pectoral muscle and Shawn Michaels seemingly break his nose. At one point Kane's mask fell off and the official had to get it for him while he was lying on the floor. One of the Arabic commentators appeared to have his mobile phone on the announce desk and it was smashed by Undertaker because he forgot to grab it when they cleared the desk. DX won. This match went 27 minutes. Ziggler Rollins was the next longest at 13.

Between this and BlizzCon it’s been a complete clusterfeck of a Friday.

I’ve give up on wwe it’s shite.

Shane winning was clearly a feck you to everyone criticising them for holding the show.

A McMahon is the "best in the world".

Vince really must not trust Braun to be Champ if he is giving it back to Brock. Will we get AJ vs Brock again at survivor series then.

I'm hoping with how over Braun has been, they're actually going to push him as a face, so there's going to be a bit of a chase for the title with Brock, hopefully culminating at Royal Rumble rather than Wrestlemania.

I think they trust AJ vs Brock to be a better match at Survivor Series than AJ vs Braun too.

Having said that, Brock will probably run through Braun and drop it to Drew at some point now.

Does Brock have something in his contract where he’ll only do a certain length of match. I never saw the match yesterday but from what I read F5 spam take one hit then it was over. So many of his matches are just short pieces of crap which sucks when you think how awesome he was when he first hit the scene.
