This black woman’s anti-Muslim rant shows how deep British racism goes.

Me neither, thankfully. The unhinged nature of these people that display such voluble levels of hatred is the biggest deterrent I guess. That and a rightly or wrongly perceived linkage with knife crime in the case of black perpetrators.
Thankfully, 99% of my bus journeys are the two stops between Blythe Road and Hammersmith Library for the tube, or vice versa, so I can leap off if there is any unpleasantness. Do miss the Routemasters though.

They were great. When I first moved the London they were still in use. Buses you could jump on/off while moving and then pay for your journey from the comfort of your seat. What price progress, eh?

In almost every video I see of someone being an arsehole on a London bus (and I've seen a few) there's a common denominator. A squabble over the seatless "wheelchair" area downstairs. I'll bet good money that's how this one started. Father of the year wanted exlusive use for his buggy and resented the other bloke taking up space with his walker. Would have never happened on a Routemaster!

All that video showed me is that Black people learned racism and discrimination from the best, white people.

you should travel more, witness the tensions between the African nations, or the Nigerian/Jamaican vibe, or maybe the Chinese/Tibetan/Mongolian hatred. Or maybe Polish/Russian violence, or the best Ive seen Kurdish/Iranian animosity.

Hatred/Ignorance is universal.

Of course it's a bloody crime

It's not in countries with free speech.

Then it's not really free then. While the yanks have got their problems(And boy have they got some big ones)their laws of free speech are way a head of most(if all)of the world.

If "free speech" is used as an excuse to defend the intimidation and bullying you see in that video, then that's a problem.

There's no way you should be allowed to get in somebody's face, racially abuse them and make explicit threats of violence without any fear of prosecution. If you really can do that in America, then it's yet another example of their slavish adherence to the constitution getting in the way of implementing rational legislation to make the country a better place to live.

The right to go about your daily business without being threatened, bullied and made to fear for your own safety is far more important than any nebulous right to express your thoughts without fear of censure.

Yeah, I can't remember if, despite their age, they were replaced more cos of fears about fare dodgers or lawsuits if people hurt themselves when jumping off. They were a godsend in busy traffic though

The no-man's land of the buggy space. The commuters' new battleground.

Well said.

Not disputing that there is genuine racism/bigotry, but I think there's a huge difference between that and fear. And it's fear that's in control right now, especially amongst those who might be either emotionally fragile or less educated. And it's not helped by certain aspects of the media who latch on to something fairly innocuous and make it an issue, spreading myths (aka lies) in order to stir up hatred.

"Black woman tells another black woman (both Caribbean) to 'go back to your own country and learn your ABC'."

In the past I though racism was between 2 or more different races but today everything is called racism, if a white guy has a rant with a white Jew or a white Muslim is called racism.

http:/

Black guy racially abuses Turkish disabled guy on a bus in Tottenham.

"Since he pleaded guilty yesterday, Samuels told the Evening Standard he ‘lost it’ when the pensioner refused to move his zimmer frame from the push-chair area on the bus."

Such a stupid reason to react like that

Edit - Also you're allowed to keep the walking thing in the push chair area

The missus happened to be talking to that guys ex today, apparently always been a massively racist prick but that's no suprise I guess.

Is that a public crime? Could I, as a random passenger on that bus, file a complaint against that woman? The silence of everyone else is almost as unnerving as her attitude. Also think the bus driver should be allowed to kick the woman out.

Can any of you guys view the videos I'm posting?

I just realised - on the laptop they say 'vid unavailable' but when I view on my phone they are there.

Any different for you guys?

Can't see the last two.

Generally, explicit threats of violence can lead to charges. It's up to the victim or witnesses to inform police, though. Viral videos are an exception, perhaps.

Why are so many people completely oblivious to their own racial prejudices when trying to highlight others?

I'll answer you when I've finished staring at my navel.

Seriously though, everyone is racist, everyone is preconditioned to other races subconsciously, and consciously.

I know some Turkish guys in Green Lanes and Haringey who want to find this guy and dish out some 'street justice'. :nervous:

Turkish guys don't give a feck. I was in a Kebab takeaway house about 10 years ago waiting for my chicken shish when a couple of young scrotes started kicking the glass front panel under the counter and threatening the three Turkish guys working there. Within the blink of an eye one of them had jumped over the counter with the fecking great big kebab knife in hand and buried it straight into one the trouble makers shoulders!

I learnt two things that night, number one don't feck with Turkish guys and two that after seeing pools of blood swamping a shop floor you undoubtably lose your appetite!

I saw a similar sort of thing but the lad got stabbed in the arse. I didn't have much sympathy cause he's a renowned wanker.
