I don't think they have to. We need Harry Redknapps men, they can pull off deals in an hour, at the 11th hour.
So what that he isn't due back for 12 days. Barca would have to act if we activate that clause, so that's exactly what we should do.
I really do wonder sometimes what goes on in those discussions that they take so long sometimes. I mean, what on earth is there to discuss that takes so long? Do they talk for a minute a day? Is it that hard to agree on something or to simply say not interested?
Depends on the deal. They can be quite complicated. Thankfully, in my opinion, I think this deal is quite straightforward. I don't know what's holding up the deal but I am sure we will find out soon. If it's true Barca are stalling this transfer somehow, then I find that a bit crass. It's their fault they let it get to this point. I would love to see them throw their toys out the pram

To be honest I don't think we need a marquee signing. Just reinforcement into the midfield. It's a bonus that Thiago would be considered a headline purchase, but it wouldn't bother me too much should we buy a lesser name once they're sufficient midfield reinforcement.
