Looks like they might not go ahead with Thiago now.

Yep I don't think Liverpool have the cash for it. I also think United shouldn't waste any time on this unless Thiago is serious about joining and lowering his wage demands to do so. As of now, it definitely seems that his heart is set on Liverpool.

Get the impression they will be able to keep Wijnaldum and sign Thiago which I think we always feared could be a possibility

Thiago is a great player, but why would we wander from our clear strategy of signing younger players that will grow with the team?

Furthermore, we've had plenty of lessons in signing injury prone midfielders from bayern. Twice. Unless we believe third times a charm

No chance unless they're able to sell other deadwood.

I thought that too initially but there wouldn't be so much confidence from Falk if it hinged on them selling Wijnaldum.

Just hoping we can sign Sancho before that happens as that will make it an easier one to swallow.

Those kind of arguments always amaze me. Is there any point of signing experienced stars from Arsenal? What about signing young prodigies from Sporting? Barca had got their fingers burnt on that one.

It's not Falk saying that, it is Dietmar Hamann who I believe is an ex-Liverpool player, right?

Is this even a possibility? I’d love him, he’s world class... but this feels a bit like waiting to see if Margot Robbie will look my way.

Liverpool going to end up going two Summer windows without improving their squad at all if they don’t watch out. They have a class team and have won serious honours but the secret to massive success i.e. doubles, back to back titles etc. is not standing still when you’re at the top.

How good is it that Bournemouth got relegated?

Liverpool would have paid for Thiago by selling one of their useless deadwood to Eddie Howe for 20m.

2.5m to loan Harry Wilson, 20m for Solanke, 16m for Ibe, 4m for Brad Smith (who?)

Klopp should have sent champagne to Eddie Howe for his role in their success.

Don't see the point in this one. No matter how good a player he is. If he comes in then surely there are deals in place to sell Fred/Mctominay Pereira and Lingard.

36m for Solanke & Ibe? Damn.

It don't make sense unless we are going to play a midfield diamond, which I wouldn't like.

It doesn’t matter about any of them. Thiago is just a stone cold incredible player.

He can play in Matic’s role.

So what? You can't possibly see signing Thiago as a negative. The quality in depth we'd have in midfield would be a piss take, a great piss take. I wish it was true.

There is nothing to discuss on this. Some ITK has posted something. Would wait till before any actual journalist links us positively

Seriously cannot see this happening. He's a great player and will bring a heck of a lot of experience, but we are stacked in midfield currently, unless we loan McTom out or something.

Thiago saga has already pained me once. No way I am getting sucked into this on a word of ITK.

Where is this tweet that is getting people talking about this one again?

I can see people talking about it but no actual tweet?

All it would take is for me to change my bio on Twitter to “journalist” and tweet obvious bollocks out the blue and hundreds of you would believe it. It’s absolutely embarrassing.

There was a tweet and I guess the poster deleted it. It said that we had agreed the structure of the fee with Bayern. Apparently the personal details were yet to be agreed but we see it as no issue.

I've deleted the tweets as I'm not giving 100% bullshitters the publicity they want. There is absolutely no substance to the content of the tweet itself, and I'm sure the person who owns the account will delete the tweet in a few weeks time when Thiago moves to Liverpool.

No chance. It’s twitter bullshitters looking for retweets from gullible United fans.

We want Sancho. That’s it. Not Thiago, not Upamecano, not Reguilon, not Telles. Sancho.

Started seeing lots of random Thiago stuff on Twitter, didn’t see anything credible so realised it’s prob that ITK BS.

Can’t believe how many people fall for the ITK stuff.

Muppets gonna muppet. And they can whine afterwards when he goes to Liverpool.

Rinse, repeat every season.

Richard Marrow is NOT a journalist or reporter. He's indykaila tier - the name alone gives it away. Been on the twitter blacklist for years.

He doesn't know anything, the fact that a random tweet from him has blown up instantly in United communities shows how starved for information we are. I think we're working on deals (or at least Sancho) but the club has become a lot tighter with leaks. The constant recycling of news on Sancho goes to show that none of these journalists - even the supposedly credible ones - don't know anything, unless briefed by the club.
