Even when defenders don't put someone there, i can't remember a player trying to hit it under the wall. Ronaldinho, Cazorla, Eriksen used to try it sometimes but nowadays maybe NeymarI hate the laying behind the wall thing.
The corner hands up thing is to let your team mates know you’re about to take it. A signal to start their runs. It’s standard in football, at all levels. Dunno why your man seemed so amazed to see it happen in an U11 game.
Lying behind a wall is such an obvious tactic it doesn’t need to come from watching telly.
