The WTF and let's all laugh at 2021/22 thread

That's what an MMA bout would look like with two footballers squaring off. First moment of contact 5 seconds in and fighter rolling around holding face while ref and others try and contain the *aggressor*

Scandinavian football has been wild this weekend

Not sure if it’s recent but it’s the first time I’m seeing it:

How does it look like when a manager who is well known for his very active in game coaching has to stay in quarantine due to Covid?

This is Cologne's manager Steffen Baumgart trapped at home:

That's not new. We did that corner hand up thing at school as well

We used to do that as well. Put your hands up to go low, point at the ground to go high in order to confuse defenders. A flawless strategy until the ball ends up hitting the first defender mid air anyway.

I hate the laying behind the wall thing.

I hate the laying behind the wall thing.
Even when defenders don't put someone there, i can't remember a player trying to hit it under the wall. Ronaldinho, Cazorla, Eriksen used to try it sometimes but nowadays maybe Neymar

The corner hands up thing is to let your team mates know you’re about to take it. A signal to start their runs. It’s standard in football, at all levels. Dunno why your man seemed so amazed to see it happen in an U11 game.

Lying behind a wall is such an obvious tactic it doesn’t need to come from watching telly.

The hand over the mouth thing is funny though

I always thought it was a near post, far post, centre of the box thing, so no-one except your team mates can know exactly which one your arm indicates. This guy was amazed because it was his player who doing it and none of the other players in the team supposedly had a clue what he was indicating

Eintracht Frankfurt's winter transfer Ansgar Knauff meeting their mascot:

He does appear to be a bit scared
